13 units total + work + chillin' = made it tough. The C one was by a nose. I could've gotten a C- (fail) but like in a 100M sprint, I was able to stick my chest out during the last metre to pass it lol.

I'm not sure why it didn't. The A+ shouldn't "cancel" it out. An A- in that class is 93~95%. Which is bullshit. That means 96~99% is a solid A. and A+ is only 100%. I don't get why they even bother with the "-" and "+" honestly if it doesn't effect GPA.

NLA isn't required, it's just basically higher level computational applications. I haven't personally worked with FEM, but my roommate and friend did a project together using FEM. I'm only very familiar with spectral and radial basis methods, much more the first than the latter.

NLA is supposed to actually get into a lot of FEM, or at least that's what the professor told us. It's a small class and we all know each other so the prof. wants to tailor the class to what we want to learn.

What school are you at that the classes are that small?

UMass Dartmouth. It's an engineering / biology / nursing school so the physics and math departments are small. I've taken a class with 3 people in it lol

Had my first semester of my Master's Degree in Economics and came away with A's in my three core courses; Grad Microeconmics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics. I now know how Engineering and Physics students feel when the class average after a midterm is in the 40-70% range; this Macro course was devilishly hard and getting a good grade was pretty much just doing less badly than the other dozen students in the class.

Glad to have these required courses over and done with, now I can start focusing on electives in my area of interest and getting started on my thesis.
