If anyone is ever in the East Bay Area, seriously just go to fucking Porky's Pizza Palace. Shit is expensive (talking almost 30 bucks for a large all meat) but oh my fucking god, so many toppings it spills off with each bite. The Large truly is a large. Took a friend there along with the wife and I think we still had 1-2 slices left over when we were done.

I miss CT pizza so much. I was talking to Boyiee on bg chat the other day about it. Found a site that have people who work hard perfecting home made restaurant-quality pizza and they have one on New England pizza. I hope to work on replicating it, because it's a million times better than Cali pizza.
I've had CT pizza, lots of NYC pizza, Chicago, and several others. There is just something about the pizza around the Jersey Shore that really propels it ahead of other areas. I was told once it was our water, which is extremely believable having like the worst water in the country. I heard a story one time that a guy from NJ was arrested or fined for trying to export large amounts of NJ water to Las Vegas when he tried to open an authentic NJ pizza place there. Doubt its true, but our water is shit, and our pizza is God. Prob all the guido's.

I can literally go to any one of 10 pizza places within 7 miles of my house (there are more than 10 in that range, too) and I feel like any one of these places has it better than anywhere else.

But we're all gonna be biased on the subject. What we grew up on will probably be our favorite. I do remember from my childhood a place that was shut down due to health code violations, it was soooo dirty, have never had pizza that good in my life since that place existed.

Pizza Hut sucks so much balls in my area. It's like biting into a piece of bread lavished with oil. It's disgusting and should feel bad.

Papa Johns is far superior where I live so I thank you OP. Crust could use some work though, but overall it's the best chain pizza I know of.(Non-local) With Domino's trailing slightly behind because they over garlic our crust and I usually get dry mouth.

I love hearing people argue about what chain pizza is the best because for once in my life I get to be smug about growing up in NJ

Anybody in the Metro Detroit area owes it to themselves to check out Cellar849/Pizza y Vino in Plymouth. Michigan's only certified Napolitano style pizza. Amazing stuff. They have a huge wine selection, and some really good appetizers as well. http://www.cellar849.com/

Also, saw someone mention it earlier, Jets pizza is the best chain around. They aren't everywhere in the US yet but if there's one near you check out their sqaure deep dish pizza.

    CT pizza is indeed delicious.

RI also has some damn-awesome pizza, if you know where to go.

I have only tried Papa Johns once, and it sucked balls.

I am one of the fortunate people to live where Dominoes is good (apparently their taste varies from state to state), so that's usually the default for ordering.

Reality is though Costco pizza shits over all pizza chains, but sadly don't deliver.

Honorable mention should also be given to Little Caesars for some tasty pizza at a cheap ass price.
Six pages late but pzone makes me sad....I see it advertised and remember that I want to try it, but every time I call to order one they have run out. Has Costco changed their pizzas? They used to be terrible, at least in the valley.

I fell in love with pizza shuttle in college, which is like the cheapest greasiest shit imaginable, but man it hits the spot.

The sheer amount of Oil that goes into Pizza Huts pan and hand tossed dough makes me surprised so many of you enjoy it so much. If you have a Wedgys near you, get some of their breadsticks by the way.
Things have changed since you worked. Pan dough is prepped in oil, but hand tossed, thin and stuffed crust (which is just hand tossed stretched out) have no vegetable oil involved, just no-stick spray on them. Stuffed Crust has garlic butter spray on the crust, which you can request put onto any other pizza which should be no charge.

I have not yet heard about everyone being cut under 30 hours from my franchise just yet. Though from what I hear about how Pizza Hut Incorporated runs their own stores, they likely don't care about the insurance thing, everyone who has worked at a PHI store before the current franchise speaks of how they would crazy overstaff their stores and offered many benefits and such. I don't think they're huge sticklers for saving pennies.

Also, busiest Pizza Hut in my franchise (biggest franchise on the east coast) is in Queens. That just sounds wrong, it isn't even a store with delivery, either.

I had plenty of money during college actually, parents paid for school and I worked for spending money.

Although in the dorm I flat out lived on the salad bar and belgian waffles.

Papa Murphys has been the best chain pizza I've had. Downside is its take-n-bake but a 6lb pizza for $15? Fuck yeah I'll take that home and cook it.

This was decent too, cashier girls were always pretty. One down the road where I lived in Pacifica, then again that entire Manor Plaza is pretty fucking sweet.

I can confirm about the dough, also I've had insurance through them for about a year. They offer it as long as you average 20 hours a week and I believe it's 2% of your check. Only medical, no dental or vision unless you're a manager which is kinda shitty but whatever.

You know, I forgot to mention, I used to be a huge fan of Papa Gino's. But I think they seem to be shrinking bit by bit. Sad.
