FF1 and FF2 sucked balls on iOS straight up port of GBA versions.

FF3 and FF4 DS updated versions of DS on iOS.

FF5 new sprites portrats and so on with GBA dungeon.

I'm enjoying the shit out of this game, I will also enjoy the shit out of Ducktales remastered and will eat up FFVI for iOS when it comes out.

i like the addition of the amano portraits, but the new character sprites are terrible. if they were going to redraw the sprites anyway, they could've at least tried to make them actually match up with the character illustrations. the presentation on this version is pretty jarring because of the rather dramatic mismatch between the two.

In every single thread for any iOS SE game ever julian always makes a point to do hate post.

In their defense its the PSP version but gimped to be more like GBA and thats because back then the iPhone 3GS was the best device but its a piece of shit 3 years later. Then again these assholes with all their resources couldn't bother to update the shit with multitasking and retina graphics, I do believe they will get a overhaul eventually like FFT iOS is, maybe after VI.

That's what I don't get. They appear to have no odd restrictions for art direction regarding mobs/scenery/etc. but they HAVE to stick to this terrible template for player characters that did not age well. Maybe that's what SE considers "dat ff feels."
