Sex offender registration is the worst of the punishment for sure. Thry were fortunate to be tried as minors, but considering that, I don't see the penalties as particularly weak.

If you are charged with rape in Ohio, it is a felony in the third degree if the alleged victim is older than 13. In Ohio, for a felony of the third degree, the prison term shall be one, two, three, four, or five years.
