He really has a face you want to punch off of his head.
He really has a face you want to punch off of his head.
Hell froze over. Church and obama are on the same team!
I'm waiting for someone to post Zeitgeist and say this is a false flag mission.
I don't see why people are defending Manning. How can we police the world and right the wrongs of evil men if everybody knows about the bad stuff we do? Freedom comes with a price and if some of that is a few dead civilians, it's ok, they're from another country. If knowledge is given on some operations the U.S. has performed, we might stop being welcomed with open arms and no longer seen as peaceful arbiters. An example needs to be made that shows everyone how we deal with people who go against the government. And none of this lethal injection bullshit, it needs to be done with a sword.
wow really?
I'll give you credit though at least you acknowledge its okay to commit atrocities because they're not us.
If anyone cares, Democracy Now aired Mannings court hearing and had on Daniel Ellsberg as well to help debunk some of the garbage that I know some folks have already ate up and based their opinions on. Which, is ironic, in that the same echo-chamber helped shaped opinions for the Iraq invasion.
Manning's testimony in audio is leaked. I don't have time to listen to this now, but here's the link:

I don't think any of those people are Bradley Manning.
I don't know Rhy, they sounded pretty convincing to me...
Tomorrow!

Also, if he gets the death penalty, first since 1961:

Acquitted of the aiding the enemy charge. Apparently intent to aid the enemy is needed, and not realizing that putting stuff on the internet means anyone has access to it doesn't count.
Good.
So he's looking at, what, 6-20 years for the rest?
Also, does he get time served for the 3 years he's already been imprisoned?
I guess we have to wait for the sentencing for his lesser crimes.
Probably yes, but he's facing a maximum sentence of 136 years. There's no minimum on any of his charges, so it's going to be entirely at the discretion of the judge.
If the judge has any kind of moral compass he will give time served. This man went through years of hell in solitary confinement. People have psychological breakdowns after mere weeks in solitary. Further punishment is cruel and unusual.
