I do all NMs, NQ and HQ boss in a bit more than 1 hour as WHM/RDM+MNK/WAR. I'm not sure what you are doing wrong? SAM maybe? but SAM have access to magical WS so i dont see why you wouldn't be able to kill them solo as SAM.

The NQ and HQ boss are joke as far as damage they do (counterstance negates most of teh damage). The HQ doesn't deserve be called an HQ as its the NQ with the same stats but 1 more TP move (acheron flame), as far as I can tell.

The only trick is to bypass the PDT; MNK has formless strike, but its possible to do it with 1 MNK tanking and 1 THF spamming aeolian edge, and never have to use Formless strike. Ive done it. Replace MNK with any DD.

I've been triboxing my usu papers. SAM/WAR (Mura/99Amano/Yoichi) WHM/RDM (a notch over gimp) and a THF/WHM just there to poke NMs. I bring my THF/WHM to help erase/ppp on the Cerberus'. Normal run yields 8 papers and takes 1:15.

Question about meeble burrows.

Our status boons havent been translating over to fights. i.e. we get all level 3 goals but we get level 1 status boon.

Just wondering if anyone knows why? Does everyone have to have same type of grimroire? etc

So you can do goal 1 x3 to lvl3 boon.

Has anyone had any personal experience camping the NM Manes in Bostaunieux Oubliette? Camped well over 10 hours so far and only seen one pop so curious if I'm just unlucky or there's something else missing here instead of being solely lotto and if it actually can still only pop @18-6 now (seems like the NM used to pop in a different location but was moved when they added higher level mobs in zone?)

I've only popped it during 18-6. It pops in the room at H-8. There should be two ghosts, I want to say one of the ghosts swaps rooms when it pops. I never managed to figure out which was the PH, but chances are it's the one that stays in the room.

Not sure on the respawn either.

Its still 18-6 and he is absolutely horrible to camp. PH NM with a short window each game day.

In regards to Assault, is it possible to enter Assault solo using the Salvage method of entering solo, or does it not work? BG wiki claims that if others d/c it'll let you in still, but just wanted confirmation. Was thinking that if it did I might be able to get the soloable assaults out of the way on my own for when I have spare tags (only have 3/50 assault clears and alot of friends are saving tags for NNI). Also wanted to say thank you to everyone with tips for BR II, we managed to get to boss with 40 mins left this last time with all NMs hit.

If my character account has been inactive for a year and a half, can I still get my character back or is it gone forever?

As long as you didn't delete it, you should still be able to reactive.

I don't think I did, I just stopped paying the monthly fee for the account that's all. My Pol account is still active but not the character.

Just wondering if that means that they can only be caught at night, or its just something that the NPC says/suggests for no reason. Nothing about recommended setups or places mentioned the actual night but this quote was there, so I'm not completely sure if relevant or not.

Farming 100% pop items for things like glavoid/chloris can be good gil still.

Audumbla hide, 50k,
Exorcised Skull 70k,
Quivering Eft Egg 60, etc.

Edit: In retrospect, 90 minutes of dynamis might be better gil/hour.

What's the most up-to-date .dat pack for icons/fonts/maps? Been playing a couple months without bothering to re-update them and I can't seem to find what I even used in the first place.
