So I just inherited another account, main points of interest being a 99Bst 94Blm and 84Brd. Could someone give me a quick run down of basic shit I'll need to make them usable? Don't want top end shit, just fairly quick and easy to get stuff. He has an assortment of AF3 +1s and +2s already and 2 PDT axes for bst.

I checked every single bazaar from upper to port jeuno and took note of any beastly shanks in bazaars not listed on ffxiah and nothing changed during that time.

Obviously this proves nothing and he could simply keep them stored on mules, however I have been suspicious of it for several months now and last night was the first time I happened to check on his location when he was actually doing Behemoth.

As far as buying shanks goes, they are 1-1.7m (1.25m is lowest I see with any regularity) and savorys sell for 8-9m, at a 15% drop rate he is breaking even at best.

Personally I do RDM+THF a fair bit. RDM doesn't have to faff about switching between light and dark arts, is good for crowd control should you need it (rare on THF) and can nuke if they have a decent setup. I found that whilst I could go THF/DNC and solo it was slow because I used a lot of TP curing myself on one way or another. That could just be me though. Dunno whether you could MNK/DNC and THF/DNC and be ok that way though.

BLM: EAF+2 is all fine but hat can be replaced with a Chelona from the AH. Upgrades from there are NNI. Cheap waist is a +7 int belt (cognition?). Goetia back/neck are fairly easy to get or Stoicheon medal is an AH thing. Couple of MAB earrings, witchstone etc. Magian staves are nice but Chatoyant will get you through. Check spells. Check on /SCH.

BRD: depends on how much work you want to put in. There are lots of nice +3 instruments out there to collect from Aby mobs. Some easier than others. EAF+2 you want to focus on the hands/body for the march/min boosts and for the increased song duration. Feet have movement speed on which is nice.

Two characters duo boxing, or you and a friend? Duo boxing, I'd just say go rdm+thf. If its two of you, then NIN+THF or THF+THF depending on if you will be claiming/engaging the same mobs.

I personally have zero problems with healing against EPs unless I link/aggro 3-4 out of laziness. Just keep drainsamba up when your not at 100% health. Most of the time I'm usually sitting on more TP than I need while trying to stagger. So after stagger depending on how much extra TP I have, I'll just redo sambas and/or cure myself, before I SAWS.

Two separate runs will almost certainly be more total currency but obviously less currency/hour. I couldn't stand 4 hours in Dynamis myself. If you're taking two characters, on is obviously a thf then a SCH is going to add the most DPS, (Enspell on a THF is something like a 20% damage boost.) RDM as mentioned above is probably simpler but you'll have fewer AoE buffs. (strategem timers)

If you are competant and have kannagi/twash then thf nin will work out well since you can kill mobs with a single skillchain. If you aren't particularly good at 2 boxing then you will be better off with sch + thf, you can do embrava twice during then run for 25mins~ of capped haste and keeping enspells up will add to DPS.

2 seperate runs as thf would likely yield more total currency than mage + thf but I would personally rather eat a plate of dicks than do 4 hours of dynamis a day for an extra ~100 currency.

With a party of 1 lvl99 and 1(lowlevel), you *could* start as low as lvl 7, though not all mob might give xp until level 8.

I know a friend who level his mules random jobs from pages while sky farming, so pretty sure you can do it from level 1, if not its some retarded low restrictions like 10 or maybe 30 like abyssea.

Well, party was level 1 WHM and my 91NIN, and my NIN got credit for the first kill but the WHM got no xp and no "objectives completed 1/3" text

Try going at level 7 like Radec said, I just assumed it was all experience from pages my friend was getting, but I guess you will still get exp even with that large level gap and page completion is based on whether you get experience or not.

If it's duo only, it's about lv3-4 PLed by lv99 character. Did it often in the past, but I forgot if it was exactly lv 3or 4. The more people in party/alliance, the hiher level you need, but in such case you can do 2-3 pages duo and team up at lv 5-6 np.

You can calculate the lowest level using the exp formula:

Just make sure it calculates out to at least 1 exp and you're golden.

Edit: Just noticed the EXP table only goes up to 75 on BG... GE/Wiki go up into the 90s but they're blocked at work so no link - search Experience Points.

Is it still possible to skill up Enhancing and Healing magic skills in Besieged? I was spamming Protect/Shell/Cure1 on a few of the generals today and was not getting any skill ups at all.

If this was removed, are there any other tips for skilling up these two?

It's still possible, but only up to a certain level--similar to fortalices for melee skills. Healing is easy by spamming cure on skeletons in abyssea. Enhancing is a pain unless you know someone with a high level NPC.
