Beta Test Emails Now Released

Figured be best to make a new thread. Just got my email entrance to the Beta. Legacy player but applied for PS3 & Windows. I just got a code and link to confirm. Seems a new code will come for PS3 access if i am selected i presume!

Yea i dont understand that. Its not possible to have multiple legacy accounts under the one SE account is it? I thought your SE account was that legacy account!

Actually it is. Legacy is tied to FFXIV account and not S-E account, so you can have multiple XIV account that are Legacy on 1 S-E account. Doesn't change the fact that the e-mail looks pretty silly

I got the e-mail in English, French and German, one language after the other in the same e-mail. Surely they could determine language within the account and send just the right version?

Kinda wish they didn't go down the key road and just enabled accounts because you just know these codes will be on eBay by the end of today since a lot of people will have two.

Has any one got a key who isn't legacy or is phase 1 legacy only?

I dont think they have stated that phase 1 would be Legacy only other than Legacy guaranteed you access to the Beta. Maybe they will have enough for Phase 1 with Legacy players but will be interesting to see if people who dont have legacy will get in this phase. I got people to sign up but all on PS3 so doubt they have got it yet.

Yeah I saw that and was confused because I don't think they said it's Legacy onry until Phase 3 ever before. Either a really bard wording or we need to prepare for shit-flinging and war!

It depends how you read that. Technically today is also "before the start of beta phase 3". It's just saying you will have the beta key for that account no later than the start of beta phase 3. Phase 1 and 2 definitely won't be legacy only considering the number of servers will increase for phase 2. If it was legacy only and all legacy are in phase 1 why would they add 5 more servers?

I definitely don't recall it, but I can't view it as poorly worded. It's definitely saying either you're legacy or you're waiting until phase 3.

How long will it take to get to phase 3 will be the tell for how much beardmad we'll see.
