Things I noticed in the live event:

I like the clear distinction between the enhancing and enfeebling colures that we see used in the video. MP cost for GEO spells seems pretty reasonable. You can also see the GEO casting a Geocolure spell on a mob in the first fight from some distance away and later he centers another Geocolure spell on the RUN himself during battle, meaning they don't necessarily have to run in to put down Luopans, biggest plus for the job I've seen so far. Different Luopans also seem to have different looks about them, which is pretty nice as well. When the GEO ran in and used Blizzara in the first fight (complete with BLM casting animation), it kinda looks like the spell was centered on the GEO itself and shot off in all directions, even though the chat log shows the GEO targeting the butterfly itself for the spell. The GEO also had Hexa Strike available to them, so they could designed to be some sort of a battlemage utilizing enfeebling Indicolure spells while running in and melee (probably only useful for solo). The animation replays each time the GEO switches gear IS going to end up annoying though.

Harboring Rune animation looks nice, short, and unintrusive. With three Tenebrae runes, the RUN was hitting for 19-35 additional effect on those butterflies. With one Fire rune active, he hit for 15-19 damage, and then stacked that with a Lux rune where he did about the same amount of damage, but only Enlight damage was happening from then on, so I guess the strength of the Enspell effect is going to be based on how many runes you have harbored matching the element of the last used rune. Considering we also didn't see damage dip below 15 no matter which rune combination he had up, I'd take a guess that harboring multiple of the same elemental runes doesn't increase the base damage of your Enspell, but the range of damage it can do. The RUN also used what looked like a Barspell Ward and an Enfeebling-type Effusion, was kinda hoping to see how much damage an Effusion: Lunge would be worth, but oh well. I didn't notice the RUN casting any magic whatsoever though, only the use of Runes. Of course, RUN had access to Resolution.

Town music was great. I know I'll eventually get tired of it like I do all town music, but its nice and upbeat. Makes me actually want to be in the zone.

Ah wow, you're right. That was pretty easy to miss. That's a pretty good sign of RUN's damage capability.

EDIT: Another thing to note was that with the 3 Tenebrae runes up, Enspell effrects were landing on all his hits, including Double Attacks.

Maybe you're being sarcastic, but most breath spells minus Wind and Poison do have very high cast, recast, and MP costs. There's nothing overpowered about them and the requirement to stay at max HP (which limits macroing ability) is certainly balancing enough.

I'm pretty sure it's like Chamaan said and it was always kind of shitty. This seems to suggest that as well.

From the lack of damage taken on the part of the stream team, those mobs seem like EP-EM at best which is a poor indicator of what kind of damage RUN is capable of.

I'm intrigued but cautiously optimistic. Jobs like BLU and PUP chew through EPs but have trouble on monsters that are significantly higher level.

Well, magic damage doesn't suffer from level correction, so damage tends to stay pretty constant. I mean, Wildfire does the same damage to most NMs (that don't resist fire) as it does to TWs. $Lunge is probably going to be the same way. (Though I guess it could be a hybrid ability)

    You're forgetting a few things:

    - Lunges are magic damage.
    - Level correction doesn't exist in Adoulin areas.
    - You're comparing a 2-hand job to 1-hand jobs.

At least RUN definitely gets Resolution. I wish they were more... active in the streams but it was interesting to an extent. GEO seems to have a very small radius for their spells.

The butterflies were doing 160-190 regular damage hits and up to 360 critical against Mocchi and Matsui. Their HP wasn't dropping because they were most likely in a debug mode of some sort that makes their HP remain constant.

The viewer also earned 144 EXP for one of those butterfly kills in a party of four with no Signet or Dedication effects active. Assuming no bonus EXP for mob type and the viewer being at lv99, that puts them in the T-VT range, I think?

Few other small things I noticed. When Matsui had the Refresh aura up on his Geo he was gaining 7 MP/tic and once it wore off was gaining 2 MP/tic. So either they had some form of auto refresh on for testing purposes or Geo AF has refresh on it/Geo gains Auto-Refresh as a job trait multiple times. It also indicates that the refresh aura is potentially 5 MP/tic although that may be dependent on skill/job level.

The geomancer buff spheres look obnoxious, I imagine people will be dat modding those away on day 1.

They all have the GM invincible mode on, where it shows damage being dealt to them but their HP doesn't actually drop.

&I actually like the geomancer animations. If they don't cause lag, they definitely stay for me.

Yeah the swirly GEO spheres will get old, quick.

I'm guessing the RUN was sub /war, or else it gets a native double attack trait.
