It's easy to make driving games look good, look at Grid 2. You just have a lowish camera, and make all the tracks really tight so the draw distance is fucking tiny.

So this is releasing on Tuesday and is at least looking mighty good. Hope it is since the only current gen racer I have right now is Need for Speed.

It really doesn't look good.

They're using decent quality road and car textures, but as soon as you look outside of the small visual circle it looks like dogshit.
Horrible quality textures for anything past the road spaceand really nasty trees.

Worst of all is even w/ all that it's only 30fps.

I might give codies shit for their physics in some games, but at least they make really nice looking games that run at 60fps ( and the physics have been getting a lot better, the ps4/xb1 stuff coming soon should actually be good ).

( Maybe AC/Autosport@4k has spoiled me, idk ).

It's no Forza, but it does come off as a decent arcade racer

Also, "weather driving" (rain etc) has been disabled for unknown reasons
