5850 was barely good when it was current... Let alone now man. You need that upgrade more than me. I went from 5850 to 7850 (which I don't recommend).

+1 to wishing this was fullscreen rather than windowed mode which definitely lowered everyone's scores. My 5850 is really beginning to show its age, and is probably what's holding my system back at this point.

I<3u. I don't have a super amazing card, and maximum was the black screen for me so figured it was just because my card wasn't good enough.

Doing this gave me an extra 600 on medium though!

With a Quad-Core Phenom II (3.2 Ghz) and two HD 5770s... what kind of score might you expect? So far mine are pretty embarassing ("slightly high" at max settings @ 1980x1200). I'm really curious how much the CrossFireX might help once it's supported.

    I have got a lot of tweaking I can potentially do before I suck it up and upgrade my CPU/GPUs... when I get the time ; _ ;

For a pc that will be 3 years old come April I'm quite pleased (originally purchased for 1.0). First score was 4856 on max so I decided to update the drivers. 5225 second go around on max. Both were tweeted@Zerjax

The PS3 version is going to chug so damn hard =/
I wonder if a PS4 version could be capable of 60FPS.

Anyone expect to pick up a Titan? I will have to pick up a new card, I'm thinking 7970 Matrix Platinum, but the Titan looks so shiny, I wonder if all the tests I read will be reflected in XIV.

I dont see how you can go wrong with a Titan. Not only do you have more power than a GTX690, but its whisper quiet which is the xsex.

no, it's at 4.8. wish I could OC my gpu a bit higher to get closer to 9k my maximum is 1202/3105 on both cards. cant really justify getting a 3770k either

It's a single GPU solution that's just about as powerful as one of the highest end dual GPU solutions out there. There's nothing more efficient than that on the market atm. A single GPU isn't subject to the scaling issues and poor software support of multi-GPU setups to nearly the same extent.

To those of you getting in the high 8000s into the 9000s, what's your GPU running at? What model/manufacturers? Getting ready to disown EVGA

It is pretty amazing when you consider the performance you're getting out of a single GPU card. The card runs cooler, and faster than a 690 with the GPU Boost 2.0. Its 1/2" shorter than a 690 to accommodate small form factor rigs. It has 6GB of memory compared to the 4GB on a 690.
In addition to that, NVIDIA has put that RAM on a 384-bit memory bus versus the 256-bit memory bus on GeForce GTX 680. The RAM is still clocked at 6GHz, so on a 384-bit memory bus that is 288GB/sec of memory bandwidth versus 192GB/sec on GTX 680.
    I want this card, badly.

    The sexy:

Altered some settings in the ati CCC, which caused all sorts of problems (they never really supported this laptop well), ended up with a weird hybrid of 13.2 vid drivers with CCC from 2011/12/29 after some driver killing/installing (driver base from asus site, then drivers only update to keep the CCC/etc), works with no issues, and improved my score with discreet by like 700 points and integrated by about 300 points. Turned on all shadows and only dropped 100 points with discreet.

New score with default medium on discreet: 3975
    "all" shadows medium discreet: 3864
    New default integrated: 2741

Not too bad for cheap, slightly old laptop, especially the integrated. Pretty happy really, means I won't really need to upgrade this thing for a lot longer than I thought.
