intel i7 950 @3.07
12gb ram
evga gtx 670 FTW
maximum settings : 7580!!
EXTREMELY HIGH~~~ I'm ready! 8)
Graphics card: ATI 5870 1GB
I think I can get away with this card for another year.
Spoiler: show
i5 2500k 3.3GHz (OC@ 4.3GHz)
ASUS GTX 670 CUII 4GB
What are you cooling your cpu with? 47C max with a 4.3 OC is really low.
Looks normal to me for any sort of decent cooler... 4.3 isn't very high for a sandy bridge, would be surprised if he had to increase vcore very much at all for that. Highest I hit is 52C with my 2500k and I have my voltage pretty high up there @1.38v on a shitty H60.
My 3770k hits mid 50s all the time with nh-d14 at stock. I have reseated and reapplied TIM several times.
edit: I know Ivy bridge runs hotter but damn.
Running i7-3970x, avg. temp around the low 20's, normal "load" around 35-37 that I have observed thus far (running XIV benchmark), clocked to 4,6ghz, using a NZXK kraken 60, cool breeze, only modified clockspeed, not tinkered with voltage (too wimpy)
Yeah ivy bridge gets stupid hot, hoping their next architecture isn't as bad. it's one of my main reasons for never moving to ivy aside from the fact that it's such a tiny step up compared to what I have
and honestly i wouldnt touch voltage on that cpu either hellfury lol, if I put down that kind of cash for a CPU I'd definitely be preserving it as long as possible.
No, I idle normally 29,27,34,32. Depending on which game low to mid 50s on load. Last time I ran prime 95 I got like 59,57,64,59 after a few minutes. When I had a 3570k, a 660, and a 212+ I used to have load temps of around 49-50c. When I upgraded to a 670 I saw temps go up some from more heat from my card, mid 50s. Temps stayed about the same when I went 3770k and NH-d14.
They updated the benchmark to 1.0.0.2 now with full-screen support.

What's New
- The Screen Mode option has been added and includes the following settings:
- Windowed
- Full Screen
- Borderless Windowed
* When set to borderless windowed, the benchmark will be run using your desktop resolution. * When set to full screen, the mouse will be disabled while the benchmark is calculating your score.
- If your computer is not running a compatible version of Direct X, an error message will be displayed when launching the benchmark.
Bug Fixes
The following issues have been addressed.
- An issue wherein certain error messages were erroneously displayed.
- An issue wherein the file FFXIV.cfg was created in the root directory where the benchmark client was installed. (If installed on the C drive, C:\) - An issue where clicking the start button multiple times would load multiple instances of the benchmark.
- An issue wherein the DirectX version information was not correctly verified.
Yeah, I noticed an obvious visual improvement when I ran the new version, though I only gained about ~300 points. I'm just waiting for that damn CrossFireX/SLI support.
(Maximum settings at 1920x1080 + 3.5Ghz 4x Phenom II + HD 5750 + 8GB RAM = 2500 score)
Yeah the new benchmark runs much better but my score pretty much stayed the same.
And for the sake of diversity, I offer up my 4 year old stock Dell: 1933 on Maximum, 1920x1080
i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4800
8 gb ram
The alpha and now the beta run decently well (obviously not on max) and the game is much gentler than 1.0. I'll probably end up getting a new PC in the near future anyway, but I'd be ok with playing the game as it is.
What sucks is that It still doesn't support non standard resolutions correctly.
Gained 100 points on the new benchmark, figured I'd gain more than that. Oh well, I run the beta fine and don't really want to overclock my CPU or GPU more, I have them both OCed pretty modestly.
