    Robotics;Notes



    Summary: In 2019, Kaito Yashio and Akiho Senomiya are the sole members of the Robotics Club at Central Tanegashima High School in Kyushu, Japan. Kaito is a laid back student and a skilled gamer who is just trying to help Akiho, his childhood friend. She is an energetic positive-thinking girl who yearns to complete the ongoing project of the club: building a functional replica of Gunvarrel, the main robot of a once popular TV series. As they gather new members and try to assemble the robot, Kaito starts stumbling upon secret reports that might reveal a conspiracy of large proportions. Unaware of what he is actually dealing with, Kaito little by little starts discovering clues laid by the mysterious Ko Kimijima.
    In 2019, Kaito Yashio is a member of his school's robotics club and a fan of fighting games. His classmate Akiho is a world renowned programmer of fighting games. Together they decide to create an actual giant robot and seek help from their friends.

    Dunno why it took so long to make a R;N topic, but it's gotten some traction and has been pretty awesome lately. So there's probably something to discuss sooner or later.

    Actually i'm tempted to try to finish C;H again because i just finished R;N19 and the refrences to S;G are awesome. Although i rember c;H being really boring...

    C;H is also only 13 episodes, so not as bad to get through.

    C;H: Noah's Ark is a device that either causes mass delusions or makes them into reality, I didn't finish the whole series so I couldn't tell you which.
    S;G: SERN is the evil twin of CERN, which uses mini black holes created by the Large Hadron Collider to enable time travel and subsequently establish a dystopia; later foiled by the combined efforts of Okabe Rintarou, Makise Kurisu and Hashida Itaru.

    Those were the two I spotted in episode 19, I can't remember seeing too many others if any.

    Actually about Noah's Ark i didn't understand it very well but isn't it some kind of IRUO that's seen with the naked eyes aka ilusions? And if so how does it realte to the solar storm destruction? do people sea all the city destroy when it isn't? i have to rewatch that part because it confused the shit out of me.

    The guy that tries to stop misa is part of Sern and when he says he's got a buddy there he's talking about Tennoji whose father was forced to act for Sern in S;G, kinda sad the daughter also has to work for them although in this series they seem "good".
    Also i'm still waiting for Kona to do something stupid because i could swear she got brainwashed, like Misa probably.

    Don't forget the very beginning of R;N episode 1. We're in the Steins;Gate world line as shown by the divergence meter. That sets the basis for many of the recurring characters and world history. S Braun of course is Nae Tennouji; that was the nickname given to her by Okabe Rintarou.

    Oh i know i was just answering that reference stuff that Elcura asked, anyways did Okabe really name nae that? hahah i do rember him calling Mr. Braun to her father (actually i call him that too i don't even remember his name) but does he really say that to the daughter? maybe she got fond of that nickname and used as her sern id? or did you read the novel?

    I knew the Noah's Ark was familiar but honestly the connection to C;H went right over my head. If C;H wasn't so terrible I'd take another look, actually I might just see if it's better with S;G and R;N in mind (but I doubt it).

    Seeing the divergence meter showing the Steins;Gate world line

    set things off on solid ground. With a connection like that you just knew things were going to be interesting. I think the more lighthearted nature of the show due to a younger main cast might contribute a bit to your "meh" feelings at the start. I feel that things were always moving, just more obscured behind a slice-of-life vibe in the beginning.

    Finished Steins;Gate yesterday and only 3 more eps to go on Chaos;Head

    That being said, which is the best subber for Robotics;Notes? I want to get this DL started.

    Well, Chaos;Head wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen(though it's the first anime that I've decided to delete after the fact when HDD space wasn't an issue), but if I watched it first, I probably would have passed on Steins;Gate (which is what originally was recommended to me).

    That being said, it's not something I'll watch a second time, but it wasn't terrible to sit through it, since it was only 12 episodes.

    That being said, with such a big diff between how much I liked Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head, how does Robotics;Notes stack up? Is it worth watching?

    I think I liked SG more than RN, but RN also isn't over, so it's not an entirely fair comparison.
