He released a lot of insignificant shit and some significant shit, and the significant shit was probably just luck, as the incredible volume of the release means he couldn't possibly have reviewed even 1% of it. I'm not defending the government or the content of the leaks, just saying that Manning isn't some righteous fight da powah crusader for justice. If someone were to drive drunk and accidentally run over Fred Phelps, it wouldn't make them a hero, even though the world would be better off.
