Quick poll for people who use BG Wiki.
The "Site Notice" on BG Wiki is the section on the top of every page (the "header") which currently has the 10th anniversary and Seekers of Adoulin logos as well as links to update notes and various other current events.

On the main page (linked above), it's everything below the "page/discussion" tabs and above the "Welcome to BG Wiki" note.
As an example of what a wiki without a sitenotice looks like, check out Wikipedia:

There are some issues with the Site Notice around caching. If you're browsing around the wiki and you're logged out, you've undoubtedly noticed funky things happening with the Site Notice (links changing, SoA countdown randomly becoming incorrect, etc.), due to the way the wiki handles caching for users who aren't logged in. However, there is some utility in being able to display links across all wiki pages.
The question we have is do people use this section for navigation, especially around the time of version updates? The poll only has three choices, but feel free to add a reply to this thread with clarifications around which choice you picked and why. If you like it but feel that it needs changes, feel free to suggest those here as well.
Basically, we're trying to decide whether we should keep the site notice, get rid of it, or just use it on a temporary basis as necessary.
