I'm so hyped about this release. My LS will go all out on Adoulin so if we do any Skirmish besides Reives in the beginning I will surely drop all the info I can.

Okay editors. Today is the day! A few tips beforehand:
1) Copy/Paste and looking at similar pages within bgwiki is your friend.
If you're making an AoE magic spell page, go steal Stonega's page. If you're filling out a JA template and you aren't really sure what you're doing, go look at Provoke, etc. We use a lot of templates, which simplifies formatting and makes things far more consistent/easier to add. Look at a similar page (or the template page) in order to see how they work. Similarly, if you discover something like "All Rune Enchantments have a recast of 15 seconds" and want to update the pages, you can copy this line and just paste it through the other 7 lunge pages:

This makes editing much faster. Control-C / Control-V. Love them.

2) Don't be afraid of red links.
Spell everything correctly and double check if you see a red link, but the fact is that we're adding a lot of pages to the wiki today. You may be the first one to link a page that needs to be added. Don't avoid linking it just because it's red. It will be added.

I also have about an hour and then I will be busy for the rest of the day.

* New Job Traits and Job Ability pages are up and need info.
* Some new spell pages are up, but they still need some info.
** I recommend using the above link and Copy/Paste to make more Geomancy pages.
* We need to add the non-exclusive spells that GEO/RUN get to their respective job pages, and add RUN/GEO + Level to the spell pages.

Yugl, Slycer, or whoever initially did so- would you mind unlocking the RUN and GEO spell/JA/etc tabs so clicking them isn't necessary?

Had some time this morning at work to update with information gleaned from last night. Added zone templates and maps for Adoulin, the areas right outside, and Sih Gates/Foret De Hennetiel (sp?). Set up category pages with Twitherym and Chapuli with what information I could recall of their TP skillsets last night. Added walkthrough for Scaredy-Cats quests and linked it in with the main mission line, which *seems* related, as it auto-starts from the Pioneer's Coalition. Think I added some other stuff too, but forgot what offhand. Anyways, will continue to poke things in as I have time.

I added the zones into the areas page, but the formatting did something weird that shoved all of the regions below Ulbuka over to the right had side. Not sure how to fix it, anyone halp?

Edit: Also I was going to start doing NPC's on the cities page, but apparently like *all* of the NPC "zone tables" template are broken or have some sort of problem. None of the zone npc tables are displaying properly on any city pages i checked.

Zone NPC Template is for the upcoming Zone template. For individual pages, use this:

Individual zone pages are on hold until I can finish the template. Just a general announcement.

As for adding the zone to the areas page, the formatting needs to be different. If you have two tables side by side, you need to do . . .

K I'll try that I'm kind of a newb. Also I'm not certain how to categorize regions. I checked POLutils region names and zone names list and theres only 2 region names, but it just looks weird to cram so much zones into the east ulbuka region i dunno. And I'm not sure if the two [U] instanced zone versions of the other zones should be their own zone/link or not. On top of that the [U] characters mess up the linking with ]]

Functionally, they should stay within the same table even if that table has many zones. I agree with you that they look weird though. We use (U) for the character due to the error you pointed out.

New zone template done! Click "Edit", Highlight the entire code, and paste into the zone you're editing if the template isn't there. You'll know because you'll see the design. Add rows to tables by duplicating the row template (ex: Zone NM Row). You will see an example of inputs there as well (ex: T/F for Aggressive/Links).

Oh looks nice, spiffy. But what about existing pages like Aht Urghan Whitegate that already have their NPC's listed in code but the NPC template is like borked? Do the NPC listings of every old zone page just have to be redone? If so ew.

We'll eventually be replacing prior zone pages with the new template. I asked FFXIDB to populate prior areas for us and return as a format we can easily upload/setup to upload, so we'll have them updated soon.
