Good dub anime?

I am greatly offended by your failure to appreciate such magnificent cheese. I believe it would be something Cream could enjoy, though, given his love of "Dragon Ball Z," which is completely horrible in almost every way, and which he loves for that.

I would agree, though, that "Teen Titans" is the real stand-out in that list. It and BatB are different creatures, despite their both being aimed toward a younger audience.

Regardless, and as made clear, if you want good animation with English voice acting, I'd go with animation that had English voice acting in the first place rather than dubbed pieces. There's a lot to choose from, especially if you started getting into products aimed at an adult audience, like "The Venture Bros.," the aforementioned "Futurama," and so on. Kids' animation will have a lot more action, though.

I would go ahead and second, third and fourth Avatar: TLA. It's one of the best shows I've ever seen animated or non, east or west. My bf is picky as hell about cartoons/animation and he keeps watching to watch it over and over cause it's so good XD (Legend of Korra, its sequel, is somewhat less good, but still pretty decent)

Those cartoons are indeed amazing. BTaB is fucking brilliant, but you do have to give it a chance and really listen to it to appreciate the humour.

Oh, so I can finally watch that video. It was so ddos'd before that I couldn't get past 20s for a few hours.

Kayaba sounds like meh. They should have gotten Ryousuke to do it, and if they did he's using the wrong voice.
Klein and Kirito sound like shit. "IF I DIE IN THE GAME, I DIE IN REAL LIFE" sounded worse than a fandub, dear god.
Asuna sounds fine. Diable sounds great from what I heard, which is hilarious considering how quickly he dies.

And get prepared for your ears to bleed.

IMHO, Gundam Unicorn's dubs are exceptionally good.

Gundam Unicorn is excellent. I personally didn't hate SEED or SEED Destiny (well...there were a lot more unlikable things about Destiny...). Certain characters were kind of interesting (I thought Rau as a good villian) and the idea of a conflict between those for an opposed to genetic engineering isn't a bad concept (and is a lot more realistic than Newtypes).

If it weren't for beam-spam, same-face, and fan-girl catering it probably could have been decent.


As for an actual recommendation- I thought Gundam 0080 was quite good and is short and sweet. Just don't go into it expecting giant robot action every episode.

I'll recommend Darker then Black dub, was no ear shattering voice or one that seemed out of place. One of the few newer animes I've enjoyed recently. 1st season is great as well as the 4 OVA's before then 2nd season. 2nd season is passable but a lot less interesting then the 1st season, though I really hate the main little girl mainly because of her sailor moon cut scene for every time she uses her ability when no one else in the series ever had it and its a freaking lame ability compared to everyone else. In fact don't watch the 2nd season (grumble), do if you want some sort of closure though.

First season is on netflix.

I tried watching Angel Beats. I couldn't finnish it, eventually hated all the characters. Not my cup of tea.

Back to the batman disscusion I didn't care for B:tBatB. B:tAS and Beyond where my favorite, once Robin became more involved in B:tAS it dipped in quality alittle, and I didn't really care for the art style change when they matched Supermans style. Rewatching Justice League, and JL:U lately. I'll second Batman:Under the Redhood being really good, Year one was so so, they seemed to try and flesh Gordon out more, made him a bit younger.

japanese version was pretty unremarkable if not bad however for the english dub they were very liberal with the script and gave the anime a comedic twist and made it much more watchable.

The two new berserk OVAs are pretty good dub wise, the new japanese Griffith VA is really terrible, probably the first anime I've ever preferred to listen to the english dub instead.
