Seekers of Adoulin Questions & Solutions Thread

So the second tally occurred and I have a plethora of questions to better "understand" the full extent of the changes and their consequences.
Anybody knows where I can find some detailed information about that?

Stuff like:
1) What does the "level" of a coalition represent, the number of "upgrades" that have been voted by people?
2) There has to be a threshold, like people can still vote X or Y but if a certain threshold (colonization?) isn't reached then the vote won't matter
3) What does each levelup bring to us players?
4) Can a coalization "level down"?
5) What's the price of the bodies and heads? (not unlocked on my server but I assumed in some other it did happen?)
6) Can Peacekeeper reive weapons be augmented?

etc etc

You'll find answers to most of that in the Colonization thread, either first post or the latest pages, but I'll try to answer some of your questions here:

1) Basically yes. Lv. 1 means only 1 Upgrade is active, lv. 2 means 2 Upgrades and so on...
2) No idea on this
3) See first post of Colonization thread
4) Afair yes
5) 25k for body and 18k for head if I remember correctly
6) No

The only T-Rex afaik is the Naakual Achuka, which can be found in NE corner of Morimar, but is inaccessible by normal means at the moment. It's a Reive mob and to get to it you need a special KI we don't have yet.

It's not specified in the description but does the quest Orobon Apetit have watercrafting as requirement?

Spent like a day farming one Umbril Ooze and the Butterfly scale to get Watercrafting on my main I wasn't really looking forward towards doing another farming session for my mule.
Thing is, I got fishing and Ebisu on mule, not on my main >__>
Oh well... guess I'll wait a month or whatever for Ooze/Scale price to go down.

It's not a KI, it's a drop, and you might need multiple. I went 1/2 and 1/4. And yes, nin or rdm could solo.

So either the "Save TP" effect on Ionis is < 1 TP, it's not working at all, or it's actually something different than what it says (Conserve TP maybe?)

I was curious how much it was, so I went out and purposefully WSd out of range. 0 TP afterwords. Should have been >0 if I'd had Save TP, no?

Since this an end all be all thread:

New hoop from SE to jump through if you just want to buy the expansion/key:

For those people who had come back around the end of last year, created a SE Management account but then decided to comeback after the release. There is a new loop hole to jump through if you want to buy directly from Square.
You will have to register a new SE account just to buy the game/key. This is separate from your SE Management account so don't try to log in with that info; it will do you no good. It took about 4 hrs for the automated email to come my way after registering. (registered at 5pm pst, email came at 9pm pst).

Outside of that everything is pretty much the same process registering on the SE management account.

So I buy the new SoA Expansion right? Haven't been in FFXI for about 2 years now and decided to reactivate my account. Anyway... I buy the expansion and while I'm downloading I'm registering the game on my POL/SE Account when my antivirus starts sounding the alarm and my download failed. Problem is I can't redownload because the download page is from the order i made for the game. I bought the PC download by the way. Any ideas on what I could do??? It sucks to pay for it and not work >.>

If you bought it from the SE store, log into the SE store site and there should be a link to DL the expansion under like "my orders" or something to that effect. Should be able to follow a link in the email you got as well.

I've made my mind and decided to give SoA a shot, but I'm having a problem while attempting to install the expansion.
"Final Fantasy XI has not been installed."
I'm using Steam Ultimate Collection - Abyssea

I'm on Windows XP.

Ok so this is kind of weird (or at least I think it is) I am currently ranked disciple in the Courier's guild, however I can not receive the CS for the 1-5 mission that requires you use 50 impraturs. Isn't disciple rank 60 impraturs used or am I lost?

There's some combination of quests that need to be done as well but no one knows which ones for sure. I think it's been narrowed down to Scardy cats, and possibly the RUN and GEO job quests, but I'm not positive. I've gotten the mission on my main but not my mule and the only difference is a few quests.

Contributer is 65 (need verification).

I've done both the Scaredy-Cats quest and both the RUN and GEO quests. I got disciple last week I think and have done over 10 impraturs since then so I have no idea what's going on lol
