Yeah but it would be easy to miss since it would be listed as the nq item which is probably old stuff. Like the new scholar stone recipe is listed under aquamarine... btw is it synth or desynth?

The Aquamarine recipe that uses Scholar Stone is a synthesis, not a desynth.

Assuming it is a desynth since Lightning Crystal, the one item, the breaks at first and HQ'ing back-to-back like that with differing results.

Like explained earlier, if it says you "Obtained" in the chat log, its a desynth. If it says you "Synthesized" then its a regular synth. breaks were just bad luck

I got a black tiger fang from desynthing the necklace but I'm a moron and was looking at my other screen and didn't notice if it HQ'd or not. I also HQ'd the mask (LC) and got a peiste leather.

Not much of a surprise, but Velkk Necklace + Lightning is valid and is more than Level 15.

Just HQed a Marble nugget and it was still a Translucent Rock.

So I am assuming the following for the necklace via the information everyone has provided:

Velkk Necklace + lightning crystal

NQ: black tiger fang (unconfirmed)
HQ1: bat wing x2 (lol)
HQ2: dragon talon
HQ3: ????


This would be for the marble nugget:

NQ: Translucent Stone
HQ1: Translucent Stone
HQ2: ???
HQ3: Marble Slab

I'd add that while I can't be 100% sure I'd guess that based on results that nugget is stone stone stone then slab for hq3. Obviously it could just rng being rng but getting stone for all but 1 of like 50 or so synths makes it look like that. I'll look into necklace but since everyone is charging and arm and a leg and I never see one when I'm on something that can kill lol... do they spawn anywhere regularly for farming?

If you count dragon talon as something valuable yes:

Velkk Necklace
NQ: Bat fang
HQ 1: 2 x Bat fangs
HQ 2: Black Tiger Fang
HQ 3: Dragon Talon.

On a related note, what is tav jewel used for that scholar stones still worth 250k?
