Okay, I just checked and he has 13 total adoulin quests done.

Twitherym dust. Grind to sawdust. No rime like the present. Western waypoints, ho! Wes... Eastern waypoints, Ho! The whole place is abuzz. Scardy Cats. A pioneer's best (imaginary) friend. The old man and the harpoon. It sets my heart aflutter. The longest way round. Cafe... teria. And A thirst for the ages.

May or may not be important but he's done 10 different types of assignments and at least 1 from each coalition.

Did 3 more imprimaturs (didn't rank up in the coalition) for a total of 12 if we consider the 9 I posted about yesterday, and now KIs are 90k for me as well with only 22 quests done.
The last 12 imprimaturs have all been spent on Inventor's coalition, Rala (Bloodthradx3)

Take the south entrance to Rala Waterways in West Adoulin, I can't remember the direction to head in after that but there is a NPC standing in front of one of the large stone doors that you can open up and behind it there are a 4 frogs, and on the platform below it there are more frogs and some pugils.

ok so I just got the 90k price now.

I have done 1 assignment in mummers and inventors to have 1 cleared in all: didnt work
just spent more assignments on scouters to rank up (didnt rank up) and got the 90k discount.

Its really only based on assignments used (I have all quests done) and maybe fame. But my fame didnt rank up beyond.

Yeah think it counts them altogether somehow. Like when I went from 100-95k I had just finished a quest but rank was already max but had easily used as much imps as the other people reporting here. And since then people with less quests done have reported getting it to 90k. I'd guess it just adds all them up weighting them differently

Have a question and if no one is sure it's something I'm gonna look into finding out. Anyone know how often the progress reports on Ergon Locus at Scouts gets updated? Either like colonization rate it might be every hour or maybe it's part of the weekly tally? I spammed Bud of the Swarm surveys on my mules to try to complete it just hasn't advanced in research still.

The dat files show 5 increasing levels of researching them: have yet to be conducted/have just begun/are progressing nicely/are coming to a head/have concluded.

Weeks ago in this thread I had posted this about the Ergon Locus survey progress reports, and I just went back to find the different levels of progress because I'm waiting for highest tier to try out some Tincture. However the NPC in the game was saying progress was "exceptionally far" which was the farthest any for my server had gone. Checking back on this stuff I posted there wasn't any text for "exceptionally far" so I went and looked again in the dialogue dat and looks like SE ninja edited the text. Now the different levels of Ergon Locus survey progress are:

[have yet to be conducted/have just begun/have started gathering steam/are progressing splendidly/have progressed to a great degree/have come exceptionally far].

And so "exceptionally far" is actually maxed as far as it can go. I'm guessing they didn't like the previous term "completed" because that made it sound like it was finished and done for good, but the research can degrade so that's not very accurate lingo.

Perhaps I'm just remembering wrong, but I could've swore that a couple weeks ago when I was spamming Scouts' tasks I saw an ergon loci (Bud of the Swarm near Ceizak #2, maybe some others) listed as "concluded" with a couple others in various states of progress. Now I checked the other day and the majority of them now say "have yet to be conducted" with only like two or three saying "exceptionally far."

Seems odd for research to "degrade" (do the Scouts somehow forget the info and/or misplace all the reports constantly?), but I suppose I wouldn't put it past SE to add something stupid like this.

Speaking of Scouts info, I had finally reached Disciple and gained access to "Fearsome Fiend Activity," thinking it would tell you if a Naakual is being fought, but it just seems like it reiterates what we already know via the colonization rate percentage. Maybe it was said in this topic before and I just overlooked it. Seems completely useless.

It degrades. There's actually very plain language in the big SoA debug stuff for degradation relating to colonization/Bivs/coalitions/ergon locus.

thoughts that it is a quest / imp thing, but your imps don't count after you've put more than 80 imps into a coalition (thus you must move onto other coalitions)? Basically, the imps only count if you're progressing towards the next rank (you can currently progress towards rank 5, but not achieve it).

Wouldn't this + degredation of of a coalition mean that eventually every coalition would degrede back to nothing (since there isn't a constant stream of new characters going through to support them).

Your logic doesn't make sense. People would continue to do the coalitions purely for the bayld. This is no different than people continuing to do pioneer's coalition (or whatever majority of the players spam) after all possible discounts have been earned. My theory or the general theory doesn't change what will happen to the coalitions after all discounts have been earned.

He thought you meant for coalition rank (hence the degrade to 0), which isn't the case. Also don't believe that imps past capping a coalition stop counting, as there's been reports farther back in this thread of people receiving discounts that only spammed a single coalition, while other reports of people who have spread them out and obtained ranks in multiple that have not. Pretty sure its just some mix of total imps completed and quest completion progress.

hit 85k Naakual KIs today. Rank 4 in Courier, Peacekeeper, Scout, and Inventor, almost rank 2 in Mummer, city fame rank 3 with all quests finished. Assuming I'll be at 75k by the time I'm rank 4 in all of them, seems to be about -5k for every 3~4 ranks with some sort of quest completion requirement, because my mule is rank 4 in two coalitions with only the root/rock/boat quests finished and she's still at 100k.

I've been checking up on it and today when I checked the Bud of the Swarm info dropped from the top tier down to "picking up steam". So the degradation is in place, it seems to be relatively slow however or possibly it only updates once per tally week.

Just seems to me like Coalition Assignments *count as quests and repeat quests* they show up plainly right there in the "Quest" log and Square stated they both give fame. I don't see why it's so odd. If you do a shitload of repeat assignments its the same as repeating a quest for fame. Obviously it's not the same as the straight fame message the fame NPC gives however, something more behind the scenes.
