Tesla has been dealing with these archaic dealership-association sponsored laws state by state for a couple years now. Massachusetts, Texas, New York, Colorado, etc. etc. - they're all over.

Here's the thing about NC. It's a fucking awesome state. The weather is great, couple hours from the beach, couple hours from asheville mountains, the people are an awesome mix of college students, business folks, and country ass peeps. The RDU Triangle is like hella big on research and technology. We have Duke, UNC, NC state... (and App. State for you hippy loving fuckers like myself)

The fucking state government is currently a goddamn travesty though. It really is such a damn shame.

NC's current educated minority has been on the rise for 25 years and is actually on pace to overwhelm the uneducated majority in the next 5-10 years. Hell, like 10 years ago the town I spent essentially my entire life had the highest density of PhD's in the nation. Now it's just a matter of time as people start sprawling out from the expensive educated hot-zones into the insanely cheap uneducated dead-zones. Gerrymandering will most likely keep many of those idiots in office for even longer than they should, but it's coming around.

People hate on California so much all the time but they never have any concrete examples or real reasoning. It really baffles me. As far as I have seen California may have issues but none of them are unique and many other states have similar issues. The debt issue for California might be bigger but other states still struggle with that as well.
