The point isn't the amount: government can always raise that. The point is to get it in the books.

I'm well aware of it, but the US spend only 2% less per BNP than Sweden on education, so it seem strange that you have such horrible computers in school. Of course it's harder to take care of a small population than a large one, but computers are pretty damn vital in school.

Bit of an exaggeration. I'd say most schools (k-12 that is, can't believe my college still used chalkboards) have whiteboards. Though I do know a lot of schools make the teachers provide their own markers (lol). It's shit like that why teachers can do tax write offs.

[edit] I keep forgetting to mention, that this wouldn't just hurt the "bad spammers" (aka I am a nigerian prince), but the legit ones, too.

As others said, I rarely send emails, but I receive a fuckton on purpose. I have a lot of places email me to get coupons n' stuff. I've saved a lot on baby stuff, movie tickets, etc. from just signing up. As well as receiving the weekly info for grocery store sales et. al.

A better argument probably would have been computers where half the teachers don't know how to properly use a powerpoint presentation nevermind more complex things like using Youtube lol.
