Probably just increasing the category cap for magic skill merits not the actual base skill cap. This is probably due to them adding Geomancy and Handbell skill which means people with multiple mage jobs are more strained for spreading their merit points across magic skills. They'll probably increase the cap by 12-16 or something to people can cap a couple more magic skills. I doubt it means they're going to raise the cap of actual skill past 424 for A+ or something.
Please tell me they're going to make Reives not suck.
Maybe theyre going to add steal/despoil loot to all mobs in SoA.
Well they didn't say merits so maybe they are adjusting caps for some jobs? Like run only having B skills or geo noy magic having C rank wtf lol. Maybe bump up some others
It's possible they're talking about raising non-A skills up, like song and...well, geomancy. Possible reaction to players being doubtful of Geomancy's potential- raise it to a B or A and thus the potency. It wouldn't be the first time they made a general statement in the update teaser that ended up being actually only applicable to one or two jobs.
EDIT: beaten
It's possible they could mean either. It was just the way I read it, possibly because the previous comment is also merit related. I'm sure we'll get clarification before the update.
I'm 99% sure the majority of those job updates are related to GEO and RUN. Which is good anyway. No mention of quests though![]()
fuck y'all niggas there's another pink wamoura in the game, they got my sub
So er, that picture shows Achuka in Cirdas instead of Morimar, and he's as big as he was on the Adoulin site, instead of how small he is in-game.
Relevance, or just weird pre-release pictures?
I am on the same boat with Kincard,
After hours of farming Pyre Soul... Pay money, get tortured with their super rare random shitty drop rate on Skirmish item.
Whacking Root, Coalition quests, HELM etc... repeatedly for 3 weeks with none of the Skirmish item, it is completely bullshit.
On another hands, an average 12 Ig Alima spam for Borealis, it is bored too...
I should take a break..
There's obviously something in the game we are either missing (haven't figured out yet) or just can't access yet due to colonization requirements as far as skirmish goes. Yes, the rewards are amazing, but you have to remember that they explicitly said they would be supporting skirmish with additional content in EVERY version update for SoA. You don't spend those kind of development resources on an activity that you only intend some extremely small percentage of the player base to take part in. I mean heck, there are three entire zones developed specifically for Skirmish (one's not in yet). Leaving skirmish access to incredible randomness also goes very much against Matsui's previously stated design philosophy about making things less about randomness and more about cumulative progress (which is very much exemplified by nearly every other aspect of SoA's overall design).
In the end, I'd say that time is needed both for us to figure out any "tricks" we may not know yet to acquire Skirmish entry items and for the overall progress on colonization to develop. In a month or two if we're still in the same boat with horrifying drop rates/prices on Skirmish entry items, then I think it'll be time to start making a big stink about it.
I laughed the first couple of times things like that happened. I'd come to expect it awhile. And then when they decided to add jobs that do a bit of the stuff people have been suggesting to do to help rdm not suck so much... yeah I think wont even notice when they end up forgetting rdm again.

Looks exactly the same to me.
Maybe he though you're talking about the middle one (the moth).
That moth is Grannus from Meebles.
