They could find a way to cater certain events within an event to be more suitable for X jobs.
They could find a way to cater certain events within an event to be more suitable for X jobs.
They tried to do this with Abyssea/VW procs but failed because certain jobs get way more procs than others(perfect pt of WAR/SAM, BLM/RDM, WHM, BRD, BLU, MNK = proc all the things in abyssea)They could find a way to cater certain events within an event to be more suitable for X jobs.
actually your perfect PT would be
WAR/SAM NIN/WAR MNK BLM/BRD WHM/RDM BLU, since your setup neglects all the nin specific stuff. Though you're still missing certain blue procs, who cares.
having said that though, procs are NOT job inclusion, theyre "fuck you's". I meant more like
ChamberA: piercing weak mobs (RNG THF DRG DNC YAY)
Chamber B: blunt weak mobs (MNK PT YAY)
Chamber C: Magic weak mobs (MANABURN YAY)
Chamber D: High heavy aoe damage via a changing element (something towards SMN?)*
Chamber E: swarms of low HP mobs (cleave YAY)
*heavy enough that say an aegis pld can tank it easily, avatars can be swapped to the appropriate element, but multiple melee would get their shit pushed in pretty bad.
Good luck to them finding a way to balance a big time event so my pup can shine instead of just keeping up.
Dear Squeenix: please make puppets stronger, thanks.
Or they could make mobs with similarities to the bhaf 2 cerb where if you do a certain amount of damage via one damage type that method becomes less and less effective. Of course there is a workaround with cerb but what if the way to counteract PDT blunt was to do piercing damage? What is slashing PDT was countered by magic damage? You avoid a proc system that way, and things are still killable but instead of bringing warx3 now you bring war, sam, mnk. Heck you could even make pet damage counteract R/M/E damage to virtually ensure bst/pup/smn had a spot. The possibilities for encouraging but not mandating job diversity are practically endless.
Thought I should note the locations for entry, I think it's those crystal thingies in the zone. They are already out there, but you can't select them or anything.
Possible Delve locations:
G-10 (SW) in Ceizak Battlegrounds (Walk from Bivouac #1)
H-11 in Foret de Hennetiel (Walk from Bivouac #3)
H-5 in Morimar Basalt Fields (Walk from Bivouac #5)
I'm not so sure; at least some of those are in really cramped areas, which is counterproductive to the "pull NMs out and battle them first" option.
