That's true, but /sam offered drg no attack bonus outside of the str granted from hasso. The main difference now will be the large attack bonuses provided from /drk versus the STP (and I guess meditate/oh shit seigan moments?) of /sam, since both sub jobs will now be able to provide 10% haste from their respective JAs. Warrior was attractive as a sub job due to the attack bonuses it provided, but it gave no haste OR STP bonuses, so it usually fell by the wayside.
Hasso is fulltime, LR isn't.
Why are people assuming 10% JA Haste from Desperate Blows/Last Resort? As I understand it:
* Level 99 DRK with 5/5 Desperate Blows Effect will have 25% JA Haste (this was said by SE previously)
* 5/5 Desperate Blows gives 10% JA Haste, meaning that they must have 15% from the Desperate Blows trait before that point.
* DRK gets the Desperate Blows trait at level 15 and it levels up after that point.
How are you guys already pulling out 10%?
Might be something like 5% at 15, 10% at 40, 15% at 60. So that 10% can be subbed.
Like Seha said, Last Resort isn't fulltime. It's only 60% of the time and if it gets dispelled you're boned. Hasso is 100% of the time and if it gets dispelled you can get it back up reasonably quick.
/DRK: 15% Attack and possibly 15% Haste 60% of the time
/SAM: STR, Accuracy, 10% JA Haste, 15 STP and a defensive back-up 100% of the time
I think SAM sub is still going to be more viable tbh.
That's assuming you get 15% Desperate Blows at 49 or lower too. You may get less than that.

/DRK isn't that great really. COnsidering all available factors it's a marginal upgrade at best for the job(s) that it'd be relevant for (DRG is the only one that I can think of atm). You get stun I guess?
