The only time we actually saw tojils aura drop was after an SC+wyvern breath MB. Anyone have any tojil logs of aura dropping and MBs going off?

I've hit MB before, and it didn't drop. I've also tried CS Water4, nothing. Spammed Drown, nothing. About the only water spell I haven't tried yet is lolpoison.

Maybe something day related? It was a thunder breath on a light SC and I'm certain that no water-related effects/damage were done at the time of aura drop. Don't recall what day it was sadly.

I assume it is day related. We had aura drop once with enwater, and then never again. No idea what days the fights were on.

Could be direction/time based like Ergon Locus/Soulpyres! Also someone said they saw Shimmering Whozitcalled's Poison Aura goes down when it got Intimidated, from Bully. Go go killer instinct/bully?

Just tried the magic damage of day of the week, and it dropped his aura immediately. Coincidence, or more?

We didn't get him far, since we only had like two minutes, but he only used Batholithic Shell and Volcanic Stasis while it was down.

Immediately, as in there was no necessary damage quota? A single spell of the appropriate element dropped it?

I couldn't tell exactly, but with the MNKs having Enaero, it was down the very first time I looked at him to check for aura.

Edit: We tried again with Enblizzard on Iceday, but the Aura didn't fall at all this time.

If it's day of the week, then it might be a minimum damage requirement, since he resists the crap out of ice.

Just hit 3/3 on boss kills tonight after downing shark on 2nd attempt. 1st was at 7% timeout because we had some issues with buffs; 2nd run was a walk in the park.

Our build for all 3 bosses has been variations of:

WHM COR BRD MNK MNK DRK
WHM COR BRD MNK MNK DRG
SCH SCH GEO GEO RDM PLD

DRK got swapped for Mura SAM on shark, otherwise the same. We ES+sleep2 Shark after taking out the aura from the 50% verve, so the bards have an easy time putting up full buffs.

did you enter at ice day on 2. attempt? maybe its the the day entered like on the butterfly in ceizak.

I'm not sure if we entered on Ice day or not. However, since Tojil doesn't pop until his wall falls, it SHOULD be the day you kill all the NMs on, which was definately Ice day.

I suppose it is possible it's the day you enter, though.

I tossed a single Blizzard III out for shit damage, and it did nothing.

a pug i joined just removed the tojil aura with just water tier 1 after all 4 times they were up (100, 75, 50 and 25)

but its really not worth the time because it went down, after spamming entire duration of first 23ish% and then it just go back up again after 75%'s roar....

he got it down again (this time with 2 geo spamming water tier 1) at about 60% and then back up again at 50%'s roar

definately number of water, but because tojil gets down so fast recently on any group, it just doesnt really matter since he just gotta roar again anyway almost as fast as it goes down

and yea, statis is used when his aura is down but no lahar :O

If there was any doubt that the zone is bugged beyond all hell, several of us saw this today:



We got the normal amount of drops, and plasm, but it didn't show in log.

Huh. When I asked in ls today if you could dark sleep they told me he was immune.

@Tojil SS: Yeah, the last time I went I only got one drop and no plasm shown in log, however still got all drops/plasm.

Incredibly behind, but not last. Shiva still does not have it's first NA win as far as I know.
