Good screen capture program

Doing a job for my company right now where i'm recording basic Windows touch ups like MSconfig, Firewalls, Updates, disk defrag, etc etc and need to record my screen.

Tried Jing but it saves in .swf which cant be imported into Windows moviemaker or uploaded to youtube, I know a program to convert .swf's but it leaves a watermark on the free version. I used camstudio as well but I don't like having the program window open on my screen, I want it to just be very clear and clean so it doesnt distract people watching.

Is FRAPS any good for just recording videos? I know people use it for their game recordings all the time but i've never dealt with it firsthand.

I just need something that can save in a file format that Windows Movie Maker can accept, so avi, divx, mp4 or even flv.
