To celebrate the 11th anniversary of FINAL FANTASY XI, we will be holding twice the number of "double" campaigns as normal – at the same time! In addition to our regular double-dose of experience points, we will also be doubling the amount of design plans dropped from Salvage!

This is a prime opportunity to boost the levels of your jobs and procure powerful equipment to face-off against the dangers that lurk in Adoulin. Don't miss out on a chance to celebrate the 11th anniversary twice as hard!

Double EXP Campaign

When

Starting on Thursday, May 30th, 2013 at 8:00 am (PDT)
Ending on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 at 7:59 am (PDT)

Where

All areas of Vana'diel
* Please note that Abyssea areas are not included

Details

During the above time period, the amount of experience points gained by slaying monsters will be doubled.
* The Dedication effect gained from experience bonus equipment will also be doubled.
* Experience points earned by completing certain types of content or via the use of items will not be doubled.
* Adventuring fellows will also receive double experience points.

Double Design Plan Drops Campaign

When

Starting on Thursday, May 30th, 2013 at 8:00 am (PDT)
Ending on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 at 7:59 am (PDT)

The below Salvage areas:
Zhayolm Remnants II / Arrapago Remnants II / Bhaflau Remnants II / Silver Sea Remnants II

During the campaign period, the amount of the following design plans dropped will be doubled:
Bloodshed Plans / Primacy Plans / Umbrage Plans / Tutelary Plans / Ritualistic Plans

Well, with a new 100% XP ring clogging inventory, guess I'll bang out a couple AF2+2 trials.

Third month in a row they've done the double-XP weekend now, yeah? Hope they keep that a regular thing.

Yap, I couldn't get anyone motivated to go in so I could at least get the last couple plans for my Morri+1 body. This should do the trick nicely.

So if the 100% plan isn't guaranteed that mob won't double? That's kinda lame. I mean it's still good, but I was hoping for a lot better farming runs than that

The logical consensus seems to be that the drop rate is doubled, not the drops themselves, aka 1-2 plans becomes 2-4, 0-1 > -0-2, etc...

I got 18 ritualistic plans on my run today.

Archaic Gear - 4
Acrolith - 3

definitely is not 100%s doubled only

Possibly just doubles the possible drops?

Like if a NM dropped 1-2, now maybe it's 2-4

I suspect that's the case yes.

100% Plan is 100%, so it makes sense that its doppelganger is also 100%. The 40~50% drop plan that some of the NMs has is not 100%, so it makes sense that its doppelganger is only a 40~50% drop rate too, meaning two separate chances for a third/fourth plan to drop rather than just one 40~50% chance of two extra plans dropping. So drop pool looks like:

Plan 100%
Plan 100%
Plan 40~50%
Plan 40~50%

Got 4 linen and 3 cotton in 2 runs today. Seems fine to me.
