Will not support mods, being considered, thoughhttp://www.vg247.com/2014/01/02/tita...to-reevaluate/Titanfall isn’t going to release with mod support, but Respawn Entertainment hasn’t ruled out the possibility.
Responding to a query on Twitter, Respawn boss Vince Zampella said mod and mapping tools won’t be available at launch “for sure”.
“Will have to evaluate after launch,” he said.
Titanfall is headed to PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and while not impossible it seems unlikely that the console versions would include modding of any kind – leaving only the PC audience to benefit from the substantial effort required to develop and support tools.
That said, Titanfall is being built on a modified version of the Source Engine, which is natively highly supportive of user-generated content.
Titanfall is coming in March; we’re still not fully informed on its classes and gameplay, but Respawn did reveal some details on sniping over the holidays, noting that no-scoping and quick-scoping are ineffective.

Quick-scoping & no-scoping are ‘ineffective’http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/02/tita...-says-respawn/Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has responded to queries about those most debated of shooter tropes; quick-scoping. The studio has labelled the technique and no-scoping ‘ineffective.’
It follows this new Titanfall trailer, showing off the Atlas mech in all its stompy glory.
Now, over on the Respawn forum, one developer wrote, “Sniping is in the game, but due to how the game plays it’s a pretty different animal than you’ll find in your run of the mill modern military shooter. Quick scoping and no scoping are ineffective.”
Quick-scoping is a method of aiming in Call of Duty that sees a player using the game’s auto-aim to zero in on a target for a one-shot kill. It’s not cheating, but it’s notorious for pissing people off, seeing as sniper rifles are powerful, given their history as long range weapons. Using them up close like that – it is argued – upsets the shooter’s balancing. No-scoping on the other hand, is scoring kills without aiming the sniper rifle at all.
It remains to be seen just how sniping will be used in Titanfall. We’ll have to wait until March to find out.

i hope this game turns out nice.
Will support multiple controller lay-outs including Halo's "Bumper Jumper"http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/06/tita...bumper-jumper/Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment took to the game’s official forums to answer a fan question, confirming multiple controller layouts for the game in the process. The layouts include Tactical and the Halo fan-favourite, Bumper Jumper.
A member of the studio named “scriptacus” on the forums said, “There is a layout with melee and crouch swapped, as well as a variant that allows for jumping on a bumper. (my personal favorite, as it allows you to use the “look” stick while jumping). More than one controller layout confirmed!”
If you’re unfamiliar with the term, Bumper Jumper is popular controller layout that first appeared in the Halo series and it utilises the controller’s bumpers for jump and melee.

Matches can contain up to 12 players (6x6) max, not counting botshttp://gematsu.com/2014/01/titanfall...unt-six-vs-sixTitanfall‘s max player count is six-versus-six, Respawn Entertainment boss Vince Zampella confirmed on Twitter.
“Turned out to be the best balance with AI for us,” Zampella said.
The Respawn head clarified that 12 players is the “humans only count.” Each player will have a titan they can pilot, or put into follow or guard mode.
“There is enough to make it fun,” Zampella said. “The players are the real threat though. We will have unlocks for the players and titans.”

$64.99http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...ctID.295576100One of the best things about big game releases is the great Limited Edition gear that comes along with them. The upcoming release of Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment’s highly anticipated shooter “Titanfall” for Xbox One is the biggest of them all, which is why we’re so excited to unveil a must-have commemorative companion to the game. The Xbox One “Titanfall” Limited Edition Wireless Controller is the perfect way to mark the debut of “Titanfall” on the Xbox One.
"In a collaborative effort with the Xbox design team and the Respawn art department, our goal was to create a controller that feels as if it is a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall and into players hands," stated Joel Emslie, Lead Artist at Respawn Entertainment.
Designed by Respawn Entertainment, the sleek controller was inspired by the C-101 carbine, used by the elite IMC Titan pilots of the Frontier. Crafted in striking detail for maximum authenticity in color and graphics, it looks and feels like an artifact from the world of “Titanfall” and is a must-have for every “Titanfall” fan.
Winner of more than 80 coveted awards from critics around the world, “Titanfall” has been recognized as one of the most anticipated games of 2014 by MTV, Yahoo! Games, CNN Money and Forbes. “Titanfall” is the first original shooter on next-gen and is winning over fans with its thrilling, dynamic first-person action gameplay featuring elite assault pilots and agile, heavily-armored, 24-foot titans.
The Xbox One “Titanfall” Limited Edition Wireless Controller will be available worldwide in time for the launch of “Titanfall” on March 11, 2014 in North America and beginning March 13, 2014 in Europe.
I love so much to do with titanfall, then I remember its going to be forced on Origin and not steam and EA will grossly mishandle the start of the game which will make it miserable and I get sad
I hear Titanfail losing a lot of preorders after 6v6 announcement and more bad PR.
haters gonna hate, fuck player count, they playtested it and chose what worked best, not every game needs 64 people running around with their heads in their asses, at least wait til the game is out/you play it before going OMG THIS IS GAY
Xbox limitations.
But don't you wonder why it is stuck at 6x6 if the field is going to be filled with a bunch of AI bots? So if the game has 12 human players and then another 24 bots running around, why not just make it 18 vs 18. It just seems like a clusterfuck of a game to me, online multiplayer only but like 2/3s of the players are computer controlled. Thank god I hate FPS and am only following this for the lulz.
again, they've play tested it. we haven't. getting butthurt now is pointless. by all means, play it and go fuck this is terrible, but to simply go OMG 6v6 THIS IS GARBAGE is fucking ludicrous
on that note, apparently xbox one owners might be getting emails with alpha invites or something
To be fair. "They" have play tested a lot of things and somehow garbage gets created from time to time. I'd prefer to see non-biased players play the game for their feel on how it plays. Devs want their games they way they want them. Doesnt mean the end-user will like it.
