Once I was able to make my own pilot loadouts, I got a lot better. The carbine is freaking awesome, but the missile launcher isn't as good for the rapid fire mini rocket gun. If you can get close enough and unload on the titan's weak spot, you can freaking wreck them.
Maybe they'll add this in the finished game, but you can't seem to look at individual match performance. I think being in the beta basically seals me interest in this game. I want to get this as close to launch as possible and freaking wreck people.
I have a X1 code if anyone wants it. Not sure why they sent me X1 and PC codes. Send PM.
apparently you can get a burn card in the beta that calls in the Ogre titan
I have an extra beta code for Xbox One if anyone's interested :3
So, let me just get this straight.
This game has no single player mode? The entire game is 6v6 combat? From what I have seen, there is only one map.
There has to be more to this game than that.
no official map count yet, rumored to be 16 at launch, there are 2 maps and 3 modes in the beta and more unannounced ones. just like how good singleplayer games can suffer from tacked on multiplayer, a tacked on singleplayer would detract from multiplayer dev/polish, plus the way the game plays simply doesn't lend itself to a singleplayer campaign. additionally there is a 'campaign' version of the multiplayer, although I'm not overly familiar with how exactly it works.
The point is, they aren't going to release the full game for Beta, so obviously there is more. They also stated awhile ago they scrapped the single player to focus on multiplayer. You get a couple maps and modes, just enough for them to collect data on bugs and server stress.
key shouldn't matter much longer, Major Nelson was reporting it was going to be open for all XBL Gold members, and Respawn tweeted it would open to Origin users sometime in the next day probably
No. The point is that they are doing something different content wise and I just wanted to know what was going to be in the retail release of the game. At no point did i ask, "is this beta the entire game?" I know what a beta is. I am just curious to how well the game will stand up without a singleplayer and seemingly repetitive multiplayer.
But I suppose that is what all FPS are now.
http://www.gamechup.com/titanfall-to...ames-revealed/It seems there may be 13 maps in all, as a NeoGAF member has discovered the names of the said maps using a Hex editor.
Update: He has discovered another map called O2, so that takes the total to 14.
You can find them below.
Angel city
Colony
Fracture
Relic
Airbase
Boneyard
Corporate
Outpost
Lagoon
Rise
Smugglers Cove
Training ground
Overlook
Nexus
O2
This is definitely a good amount of content to start with and presumably more maps will be added as DLC. However, take this a rumour for now.
I honestly can't remember the last FPS that I played for the single player. Maybe... Duke Nuke'em 3D? And when has FPS multiplayer not been "repetitive" in the sense that you're spawning and killing dudes/dudettes for <x> amount of minutes? There are other modes in the beta other than team deathmatch and there are rumors going around that the full release will have CTF in the very least. So hey, I think they game is gonna do fine without a boring-ass single player campaign.
That's not to say that I wouldn't like the idea of a fully-fleshed out SP mode, but I know full well I would never touch it.
Then you need to learn to speak better because that's not how your comment comes off in the slightest. It sounded like you were bitching about 1 map and 3 mp game modes being all there was. As for repetitive gameplay, yes that's what mp/fps usually is, at least this one is trying to be different, and accomplishing it imo. They've stated they also wanted to inject some story into the mp, not sure if that's just the little guy updating you on the match or a different game mode or what.
So, wheres the PC master-race open beta/demo? (-_o)
