Boring panel =/, every outlet that is running the story is saying that is in game running on ps4 so I am still hopeful.

welp
from the kotaku article on it.
"It’s all CGI—to be specific, it’s “footage representative of PlayStation 4,” according to the trailer"
yeah, dont drink the koolaid people, if you want it to look that good itll have to be developed by someone other than EA.
Dont get me wrong, I still wanna play the game, but Im not going to believe thats legit footage until I see some actual legit, with UI and some dude calling some other dude a bundle of sticks
Hey, it is what it is, but lol on that guy on the last page trying to call people out for having suspicions regarding an EA "product".
"Prior evidence does NOT apply if I really like what's shown in the present!"
so yeah won't be that pretty in actual gameplay, but it is in-engine stuffThat’s our frostbite engine that we’re using, and all the assets that are in the trailer are actually from the game. None of it is fake really. It’s the game’s assets. Of course there are cinematic things we’re doing that is hard to play, but we want to prove that we can make our own trailers in the engine that we’re also making the game for. But we don’t try to trick anyone.
I mean, other than saying "graphics aren't bad", that comment means the trailer gaves us zero information about the game. Guess I'm definitely holding down my hype until I see gameplay.
here's a dude talking about the gameplay
no one's saying that though? I'm just saying there's a distinction between in-engine cinematics, and a straight up CGI video.
Not to tinfoil, but you're trusting what EA is saying? EA??
Go you! You're better than I.
I don't care that EA is developing this because if they fuck it up, I am sure Disney will come down on them hard. I feel like this will be a solid title. I haven't had these kind of feels since Bad Company.
I'm just preemptively salty about all the things this game won't have that Battlefront 2 did.
Technically EA doesn't develop anything, they publish. They have studios that do the development like DICE, Visceral, Bioware. Terminology matters if you're trying to discuss this
Either way EA will influence it into oblivion.
EA doesn't have to develop, but I understand what you're saying. EA only has to swoop in and demand this be added or cut, or demand that the deadlines be moved up because the shareholders are getting antsy. We know of all of the myriad ways a publisher can absolutely destroy a potentially good game. We need only look back at Age of Conan and what the publishers did to that game, for reference.

Jim said it best. I feel the same. I hope it'll be great, but I don't believe it'll be great, and I wasn't always that way. The last few years have been... rough, to say the least.
