If you click a character and go to the bottom you can scroll to the side, shows 6 more slots... doesn't seem that many left (not counting if Chrom is in it)? Assuming Captain Falcon, Ganondorf, and Ness come back that would reduce it more so. I guess they could increase the amount of slots but not sure the point of putting an amount of blank ones. Looks like probably no Toon Link since he was conducting the train (can argue to use WW era version but doubting).

Brawl had data on both sides of the disc. If the 3ds is suppose to have everything the Wii U version does (course not at the same level of graphics etc) then however much content the 3ds can hold is the max that the Wii U will be able to. Would that mean we will have less than Melee/Brawl had? I'm not familiar with the amount of data a 3ds game can hold.

I hope they remove the Samus -> Final Smash -> Zero Suit mechanic. I loved normal Samus but was terrible with Zero Suit, so when a Smash Ball came around it was always just "Whelp...guess someone else gets that..."

I think the point of the blank ones was to fill out the 9 "frames" by default. I don't see a reason why they can't just add another dot for 9 more spaces whenever they need it. I would be shocked if the game has only 18 characters.

I hope online isn't complete garbage. Wii's smash was SO fucking bad online, 1000 MS, 1 game options, so bad. It should have every single multiplayer option as local, or at least the same n64 and GC ones had at the least ._.

I was so excited to play smash against my online friends, then BAM dreams ruined by shit online.

I'd rather a nice concise 15-20 characters. Chop out the clones, the side-characters, etc, make the core ones matter. Not going to happen though since the fanbase will rage pretty loudly, and that it's a party game at heart

Welp, time to save up for a Wii U. I don't care if Mega Man is at the bottom of the tier list, I'm goign to enjoy every moment I play as him.

Can't wait for new characters. I'm doubting it, but I'm crossing my fingers for Ryu from Ninja Gaiden as a new 3rd party character. I loved those games back in the day even though I had to resort to a game genie/save states to beat the final level in the first game.
