The quote was saying that, unlike the model/appearance changes of the other listed characters, Lucina has a mechanic that is different from Marth's in that her damage is constant across her sword. Since that is different they needed to give her a full slot.

Or at least that's how I interpreted it.

Thats a pretty big goal for him. Large task for the dev team too trying to fit him in to such a small amount of open roster spaces left.

I would wager it's the *starting* roster, but it at least should clear up a few empty spots like Jiggly, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf.

Robin has been given a "Drain" attack

Robin's Nosferatu is the first ability in the Smash Bros. series that recovers your damage as it gives damage to others. The attack becomes even stronger if you strike from behind! Robin doesn't actually use this ability in the original game, but we added that element to make the character unique. Who knows--the ideas we use in this game may contribute to the original series.

Pretty sure your avatar (Robin) can change to dark mage/sorcerer in awakening, but maybe he meant "as a tactician." Since that's the class he/she appears to be in Smash.

Hadn't seen this posted before, but maybe I missed it. It's a review/ranking of sorts for the last playable demo of Smash on the 3DS and WiiU. Gives you movesets and damage for new characters as well as some changes to the old ones.

Seems Bowser has had a large enough overhaul to be a monster of a character. I know a friend of mine that will be overjoyed.
