Illinois House passes Gay Marriage rights
The Illinois House passed a bill legalizing same sex marriage Tuesday, putting the Land of Lincoln on course to be the 15th state to legalize same sex marriage.
The House of Representatives narrowly passed the bill 61-54-2 shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
The bill, SB10, now returns to the Democratically-controlled state senate. Earlier this year, the Illinois senate approved the bill by a vote of 34 to 21.
Lawmakers voted 61-54 to send the measure back to the Senate to change the bill's effective date, just a technical change since the chamber already approved the measure in February. The measure will then head to Gov. Pat Quinn, who has pledged to sign it into the law.
Pretty good day here, lots of people excited about it. It's nice to see IL start to get their shit together again, this used to be a pretty progressive state but it's started falling into conservatism recently; it's hard because we desperately need fiscal conservatism but it's hard to find it without bible-thumping, especially if more of the politicians are being fielded from downstate.
IL can see this ruling as a revenue generator as well, with families coming into state for marriages and weekends spending money and shit.
Yeah it's possible, since it's already a bit of a destination city and the only other options in the Midwest are MN/IA. I'm surprised it's not legal in Wisconsin, I thought they were somewhat progressive.
The metropolitan areas of Wisconsin are very liberal/progressive (i.e. Madison and surrounding suburbs). However, Wisconsin is a huge state full of farmers, and as we all know, rural + retard (less education) = redneck republican.
Yeah that's where my misconception is from, I've only been to Madison/Dells/Milwaukee, lol. It's not any different here, there's Chicago, and then anything south of Joliet is pretty much Kentucky North.
stupidest man in US strikes again
Anonymous needs to leak this guy's pornhub history; what the fuck is taking them so long?
They probably have seen it, and thought against it.

Ah, Hannity, crying and leaving, and proudly putting people out of work because he can't take the heat.
Delicious Ironing.
I love how he and commentors seem to think his tax dollars are what's making ny survive.
Hannity came out or something?
