Still got till April (or based on when this thread started, July?) to get gold or plat.
So, I bought Legend of Zelda ALBW before I linked my Nintendo account, so obviously I have no PIN# to register it. How can i register it? I did google and it mentions calling them up to do it, but wondering if theres an easier way or do I have to sit on the phone?
If phone is the only option, don't suppose anyone knows which number to call specifically?
Nt doing a new thread but Gold/Platinum are out
Lots of nice gmaes this year, but got Earthbound since i had the rest
Is it just games this year?
looks like it. they just haven't got the funds to offer the cool physical rewards anymore I guess, which is a shame. I've still got my button set and mario statue from years past
Pretty funny article about it
It's free stuff so I'm not complaining, but it is a bit disappointing compared to previous years
Skipped last year, currently at 560pts.
I literally bought Earthbound just this week. Frickin A man.
Pondering doing Zelda II.
I don't need a statue or something, but a poster set with Smash or an older soundtrack would have been nice and can't be too expensive since they offer it for coin purchase now and then. If they are sticking to the game downloads how about $5/10 credited to your eShop account for Gold/Plat so it can go toward something you might not have purchased already?
I would rather them up the coins needed to grab the monthly game features and decrease the coins earned upon buying new if it meant frequent stocking of the store. I'm sure there is plenty in a marketing warehouse somewhere Nintendo could have tapped into to grab something unique for Gold/Plat.
I have Earthbound and am really not sure what else to get. NES Remix or Dr Luigi maybe... hmm. We have to choose something by August 14th, correct?
i'll prolly end up grabbing donkey kong country returns, haven't got that one yet
Only got gold this year. Not sure what game I'll get since I have half of them already in some form or another. Could get Metroid just to avoid playing it from within Metroid prime or fusion. Never really played Zelda II but most people say it's awful and it certainly hasn't aged well. Haven't played Super Mario Land 2 in years and never actually owned the game myself. Guess I got a month to figure it out.
I was looking over the stuff you could buy with the coins... jeez, Paper Mario 1 for the WiiU is only 250 coins. I'd buy it if i could lol x.x. Don't own a WiiU yet :U
If you haven't played it, Zelda II is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, game in the franchise. It's definitely the most different and hasn't aged exceptionally well, but it's not a bad choice if you haven't played it.
It's on the Wii, can just play it on Wii U through the Wii console thing. Think I might get it too with the leftover coins I have.
@Serra I might consider Zelda II, but looks like it is a Wii U only game so I can't actually get it yet since I don't have a Wii U. Pretty sure the codes themselves expire at some point after you redeem the reward and I won't be getting a Wii U before August.
Meanwhile, Club Nintendo Japan can buy this with coins.
Good thing only Japanese customers matter to Nintendo :/
I'm disappointed too, but sentiments like this are just irritating. Yes, the game's selection is disappointing, but do you actually know what the rewards are in Japan this year or are you just bitching because you feel slighted? It isn't necessarily that NA gamers are getting shafted this year, but that the NA Club Nintendo has never been that great compared to the JP and EU alternatives.
Take a look at what Europeans can buy:

Compared to the NA shop:

So because we've always been shafted you're okay with it?
I'm saying that statements like "Nintendo only cares about Japanese players" are flat out wrong. If you want to bitch about Nintendo of America's crappy rewards program, go ahead. But don't say it's because we're not Japanese.
Remember when EU got that Zelda Treasure Chest thing also?
