so been bored at work got me thinking, maybe when they made that warp hole (First Ep) they made copies of themselves (or mass produced there universe) since Space dandy has died twice and Meow has died 3 times in 4 ep's

So I didn't realize this was already dubbed and already on Toonami, went ahead and caught up today. Really like it so far.
To infinity... and beyond!
the whole bit this episode explaining zombie life was freaking hilarious. meow is the best space cat ever.
That episode man. Fucking hilarious.
Only thing I don't really care for is the lack of continuity. Even if it were cheesy and only 30 secs, would be nice for an explanation on how they survive, how they get back to normal, etc.
So with that I'd have to say 4/5 (otherwise show would be an easy 4.5/5 for me);
Still a fucking fantastic show, just I can't seem to shake that pet peeve.
I kinda like the lack of continuity, I mean generally that's what most anime I watch goes for so it's nice to see a high production anime not take itself too seriously. You can do random, crazy shit and not worry about how to return to the status quo because fuck it, you just did and there was no explanation necessary.
The lack of continuity between episodes is a Western cartoon trope, and it really works well in this series. If this next episode is the first one with serious feels, I'm sure we'll all get a better idea of where Watanabe is steering this thing.
Lest we forget: Dragonball started as shonen comedy; Bleach started as your typical monster-of-the-week fair. Neither remained that way, and both became radically different animals down the road.
If Dandy continues for as long as Watanabe intends, I wonder how it will divert from the original concept and premise. It will be very popular by then - internationally so. I hope he can strike that balance between humor:drama he's shooting for (in a ratio opposite of Bebop's). It's been pretty brilliant thus far. I'll be watching this for a while.
Ya, but when was the last time Watanabe had a series that lasted more than one season?
He hasn't, which was partly my point. It's new territory for him. Will be very interesting to see what happens.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's doing this on purpose because it is new to him ^
We need more wacky shit on the block anyways.
Damn, I'm already starting to get some feels
Great episode. She wants the Dandy.
DEM FEELS YO... great episode overall.
Part of me hopes her species grows up fast and we get some live-in T&A soon.
Best episode so far. I know we all like the humor and the unique style of this show but that was much better.
great episode
It took forcing myself to watch the first couple episodes, but by episode 5, I've really started to get into this series
