Rank 3: ~11k [Reward: Adds 2 inventory tabs to company chest]
Rank 4: ~24k [Reward: Apply FC crest to gear]
Rank 5: [Reward: Allows perk purchase and use]
Rank 5 appears to be the cap.

Standing lower perk costs, no exact number yet for each level of standing. Looks to be about 100~120 each tier of standing.

I gathered 22 HQ items and each one added three points to the company. I crafted a few HQs and they also gave three points. The first completion with a gold medal of a level 22 fate on a level 27 class gave 33 points. All of these were with a Company Rank of 1.

I see...

We have a Company rank of 2 and it seems like regardless of crafting/gathering levels we're getting +1 point each.

It's quite obvious it's +1 since if you refresh the list there's a spam of +1, +1, +1, +1 since we have a bunch of level 50 crafters and gathers busy at work.

Edit: Just had a level 50 crafter do a HQ (41 Raptor Skin) was a +1, no one did anything else at that time.

I edited the company info into my previous post.

I just went from Culinarian 18 to 19 on a level 19 craft, but I HQ'd the craft for the level (and gained 3 points).

Going from Culinarian 19 to 20 on a level 19 craft gave 0 rank points.

I waited until some other people got online and gathered a bit. HQs with three members online was only giving me one point, so it looks like they give a bonus if there's only one person online.

One person logged off and HQs gave two points.

I'm noticing standings. Does that mean you can change your Free Company's allegiance down the line?

For those of us not on legacy, can you explain a bit more about the options available to Free Companies? Feel free to link if there's something up already. I'm assuming like other games, the FC earns points for its members actions and then can spend em on buffs to the group/bank?

I'm pretty interested in how Free Company points work as well since my FC is looking like it will just be a few people. I'm trying to decide it it will be worth joining my friends tiny FC (IE will a handful of us be able to even get enough points to get useful features for the FC).

You'll get enough points to unlock everything eventually.... its just gonna take you alot longer in a smaller FC.

You get points for completing quests, leveling up, crafting HQ items, gathering HQ items and probably alot of other stuff too that we havent noticed yet.

This... Please explain the difference between "Standing" and "Company Rank" and how Free Company Points are involved. From the sounds of it these points are currency to buy FC upgrades. How does that work? Are these points currency AND an xp system to increase in Rank and/or Standing? Inquiring Minds want to know.

Seeming it works in a way to the WoW guild system works? I'd like to know more about rewards or if there is a cap per day that the guild can reach..

I gathered it works similar to WoW guild system, or even Guild Wars 2 at that. But my concern is that, if i'm not mistaken, that you have to ally your FC with a Grand Company. Does that change any gear rewards earned through your FC? And if so, can you change between GCs at any time? How does one determine which GC is the best for their FC?

Linkshells have a ~100 or so member limit. Besides needing 4 people to start a FC, I can't seem to find a maximum limit, anyone know?

With those bonuses, man we need one started for the Gilgamesh BG shell ASAP.

Yeah linkshells are 128 limit because we were joking about needing another 90 something players to cap. My assumption is Free Companies are the same, but I don't know.

GC is a personal alliance between yourself and a city state (Ul'dah, Limsa or Gridania). FC is a guild system. They have no relation to eachother and are not linked in any way.

At the moment, FC has not been out long enough for anyone to have any testing done as it takes more than 2 days of beta to even unlock the basic functions of a FC. Hold ur horses til atleast a week or so into the official release.

Not entirely true. When you make a FC you ally it with a GC. For example, my FC is allied with the Twin Adders.

At some point we became in "Good Standing" (or something like that) with the Twin Adders whereas before all 3 GCs were "Neutral Standing."

I have no idea what this means, but there is a connection between GCs and FCs.

My mistake then, I never knew how that came about as I didnt create my FC. As it stands now yea, not much is known about anything.
