Hokuten was formed in winter of 2004 on Bahamut in Final Fantasy XI. We have grown as a linkshell and have killed almost everything that lived in Vanadiel. With the Release of Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 Hokuten was reformed, but not for long because the game was, let´s face it.. terrible at start! A full reunion happened with 2.0 on Ragnarok. We are a rank 8 FC who always has Proper Care II and Recuced Rates II activated. Our house is on Plot 6, 3rd Ward, Mist.

Wir wurden 2004 auf Bahamut in Final Fantasy XI gegründet und haben im alten FFXI so gut wie alles gekillt was rumgelaufen ist. Mit dem Release von 1.0. haben wir uns in Final Fantasy XIV erneut zusammengefunden. Weil das Game stark verbesserungsbedürftig war hielt es uns jedoch nicht lange dort. Mit dem Release von 2.0. haben wir uns auf Ragnarok wieder vereint.

Roster:
Hokuten will have a mixed roster. While many people think we are a pure german linkshell, we are not. Hokuten is international. The activity of members of each country is just different, but an advantage for shift workers or night active players. We have members from Austria, France, Mexico, England, Swizerland, USA, Sweden, Finland, Belgium and more. 1/3 is English based, 2/3 is not English based, FC language is ENGLISH!

Wir werden ein bunter Haufen von Mitgliedern sein. Vielen dachten schon in der Vergangenheit, dass wir eine deutsche Linkshell sind, das ist jedoch falsch. Hokuten ist eine internationale Truppe.
Mitglieder aus Österreich, Frankreich, Mexiko, England, Schweiz und den USA komplettieren undere deutschen Wurzeln. Wir erwarten dabei ca. 2/3 aus der EU, 1/3 aus den USA, wobei die Hälfte aus englischsprachigen Ländern kommen wird und die Hälfte aus deutschsprachigen.

Events:
Since 2.2. we are able to raid more things as a FC. We spam T1-T4 when needed and are now able to do T5 with mixed teams. Primal X (all of them) and Animus weapon dungeons are also something we do as a team. T6-T9 is being done in fix COIL GROUPS. Crystal Tower 2 will be done with patch 2.3. as a FC again. We managed to get a few CT runs from 2.1. done with 24 FC people. We have currently no point system, as we feel there is no need for it. If rules are needed we talk about it quick before we do something. So far we have never had issues. Rules in Coil Groups will be done within the Coil Group.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for people that are wanting to be helpfull and go to events and raid with their group and FC regularly within Hokuten. Basically anyone that is willing to have fun in an international group is welcome to Hokuten. This does however not mean that we don´t have our standards. You should be pretty good in playing your wanted main job(s). If you are unsure or have problems, we will try to help you improve while getting to know you.

• We look currently for english speaking people from the U.S.
• We look for 2 tanks, one each for Coil Groups, if you want to know more details look below.

What do we expect from you?:
Getting information on preparation before events. No begging.
We highly suggest people to download the chat program Teamspeak Version 3.

• You should be willing to level 2 different class types to 50+ (example: type = Tank (WAR, PLD), DD (MNK, LNC, BLM), Mage (SCH, WHM, BLM), Ranged (BRD, BLM)) during your online time.
  Of course you can have a main job, but we expect you to be flexible incase we lack a job/class.
• You are responsible being prepared for Linkshell events. This means getting items (medicine, food, etc.). If you are not sure what you need please ask in LS/FC Chat or look at our guides on the forums.
• Hokuten is a give and take. You put in a lot of work into Hokuten, you will get rewarded. When you don´t come to many events you might want to reconsider your priority
• Minimum english knowledge to communicate with our members. If not we will teach you ;P

What can you expect from us?

• An experienced leadership
• Fun (well what LS/FC doesn´t want to have that)
• A multi-cultural LS/FC
• A give and take
• A group of people that is playing together since over 8 years now and integrate new people quickly
  (which is of course only working if you put work in it as well)

Update for other interested people:
We look for 1-2 more Healers (preferable you have WHM and SCH 50, 2-3 DL pieces, if not both at 50, talk to me).
Those healers should also later consider levelling another class (for BLM or BRD).

Other jobs can still apply too.

What do we do atm?
We get our casual people their relics atm, while the majority has 3 already or working on #3 or #4.
Because we put priority to get everyone up to relic, we only did 2 attempts at Bahamut Coil so far,
cleared Turn 1 the second attempt and almost beat Turn 2 same night. Going further soon.

We are no longer looking for Tanks, however PLD and WAR can be your secondary jobs!
WHM and DPS are still considered. We still expect everyone to consider levelling two
different job types (close DPS, ranged DPS, healer, tank), gear them properly (we will
help you on kills for relic) and willingly to play them without discussion.

Event Schedule:
We are currently raiding in 4 groups. 2 of them are at T5, one of them just got to T4, and our fourth team is also starting at T4. Our US team currently only has 5 people, so we would like to make them raid too.
We are more or less a casual raiding FC (one hardcore team that raids pretty much daily and rest 2-3 times per week in Coil). With patch 2.1. coming we will start with the house area as well and also try to cooordinate (with luck needed too I guess), to raid together in Crystal Tower twice per week. We will have fresh and new teams for the extreme fights and will of course also do no longer just AK/WP spam to fill up the 300 points needed. We don´t let people be stuck on things like relic and help out each other as best and quick as we can.

Jobs:
One T5 team is looking for a person that has healer job(s) and DPS (BRD, DRG, BLM, MNK) ready. Another new team is wanting to full up their 2 open spots with a healer and a DPS.

If possible we are also looking for this:
Our US team (currently 5 people) wants is looking for at least 1 healer and DPS. If you have tank as backup job, that is okay too.

Hello everyone,
first of all a happy new year to everyone of you guys.

Let me give you a small update on what Hokuten is currently standing for. We have around 40-45 active members from around the world, plus a few listed as currently inactive.

While we don´t have big numbers (on purpose, to keep it a family), we obtained rank 8 as a free company just in the last days. With current prices, we will not purchase land at this moment, but we are working on obtaining gil from our FC members as they can and want (to afford). We will go for a house, once the prices got lowered as announced from SE in their latest information.

We have 4 groups raiding in Coil, with 2 of them at Turn 5 and 2 at Turn 4. One of our Coil Groups is capable of raiding almost daily, while the other 3 are more casual and raiding maximum of 3 days per week.

We also have constantly mixed groups of members going after Extreme Fights, Ultima, Crystal Tower, Relic Runs and other 2.1 content there is (not counting 4 people raids). We have also managed to have a Crystal Tower run as a FC and it was awesome.

Congratulations on our hardcore raiding group on beating the 3 Xtreme Primals and obtaining new weapons for their main or submainjob. We are proud of you guys.

Hello guys and girls

we are currently recruiting for 2 Coil Teams. Each is in need of one tank. Both teams are working on T5 clear at this moment (since 2.2. Patch has come out), only thing holding them back is a fix team again. (we had few people quit the game at end of 2.1.). 1/2 members of one group has T5 already cleared. Our other Coil Group (the one not looking for members has started yesterday on T6).

Having a DPS job available would be great, but we can certainly find solutions if it's not possible. You should have iLevel 85+ on your PLD or WAR. As much as possible we would like to have people with some experience. Our current goal is to work towards new Coil floors, and I believe that it will be very hard to do if you never ran T1-T4 before. Knowing the job with which you are applying is of course mandatory, coil not being the place to practice.

Information on Team 1 (also known as Penguin Team):
Our playtimes are the following for team 1 (contact Tal‘ Iesin).
- Every wednesday at 20.30 CET (GMT+2 in summertime)
- Most of Fridays around the same time.
We usually run coil during 2 hours, and then do something else for fun, like CT, Primals, etc... for people who want to. If you like a relax atmosphere while still facing the some of the hardest raids of the game, then we're the group to join!
And becoming a Penguin wil change your life, trust me!

Information on Team 2:
Team 2 has no fix raid times yet as they are forming right now, so if you need information, contact me (or Noomi Sorrow or Illyria Fox) in game. You can find more information about us on http://www.Hokuten-LS.de.vu, this is also the place to apply to us.

For both teams, you don´t need to apply to the FC, you can be in another FC if needed. We do not force anyone to join our tanks just for Coil, however it would be nice if we can say to have you on board with us.

Hello.

Our FC is looking for a dedicated WHM to complete our 2nd Coil static.
We plan to go as often as possible, for at least 2hrs. Main focus of the group is learning and clearing the turns of the 2nd Coil of Bahamut. We also do other content like old Coils, extreme primals and in 2.3 the new CT, but that usually happens with mixed groups from FC members anyway.
The team consists of PLD, WAR, SCH, DRG, 2x BRD, BLM/SMN.

What you need:
- WHM should be your main job and you should know what the job is capable of
- being around iLv90 or higher
- 2-3hrs of your time, starting between 8-9 gmt+2
- have access to the T6 etc. (if you haven't cleared T5, at least know the fight and blame it on the lack of a competent group)
- Being able to play in a team. Know how to share work, accept advice while also be able to offer it
- Have access to TS3. While a mic is not required, you should at least be able to listen to what we have to say during an event.
- Be friendly and open minded. We are looking for fun and not drama.


What we offer:
- Play with easy going ppl on a daily basis, who still try to achieve something in this game.
