Has anything been found to effect the rate of tier I demis?

There seems to be a minimum ilvl for them to even show up. I did 30 amateur's needles (ilvl 12) since they're just 1x bat fang but no demis (clear or field), brass rings of crafting (ilvl 18) did tho.

Other than that I didn't notice ilvl effecting the rate of getting demis. Did electrum/mythril/brass rings of crafting and noticed no real difference (did 30-40 each of electrum/mythril, eventually settled on just doing brass since it's the cheapest).

Hardly the largest of sample sizes but have any trends been noticed?

I use Bone Rings to keep my GSM locked to 100 and they tend to give me clear demis pretty often. ilvl40-50 items to farm demis because they tend to yield 2.

Desynth can suck a dick. Am 100 dBSM and trying to get some FC3 for my supra rod. Make 8 summoning bells, break 5 get 2 wood back, make 2 more, end up with 5 breaks and 5 feathers.

Nothing from about 1-> 43ish

Lv 43-> 46 ish 1 battle/field
Lv 46-> 50 (no star) Possible 2 battle/field
1 star 1-2 field2/battle2 (stuff like body armors/weapons give multiple, where as accessories give 1)
2 star 1 field/battle 1-3 master (2 star artisan weapon gives up to 3, while glasses/hood gives 1)
3 star 1-2 field/battle ?master materia Haven't messed with this, but I don't think I've seen anyone mention master materia at this range, but you can get up to 2 battle from fully crafted items (like glasses/furniture...?) and field from "parts" i90?

need clarification on 3 star, I've not messed with it yet, been working on my i70 tools for all classes and only just recently finished.

Your low range is a bit off, fairly sure I've gotten battle/field 1s from level 26 gear as GSM while I was leveling.

I did a bunch of Wolf Fang Needles (ilvl40) and I'm almost certain I got 2 Field Is off of one of them so I think the threshold for getting 2 may be 40.

Also I'm not sure what you mean by "Nothing 1-43sh", do you mean you have no data? Cause you can certainly get demis from low level gear, I've been doing Brass crafting rings (ilvl 18) for Field Is.

I only remembered clears, not battle/field.

Also I saw a picture (japanese) of a fish desynth with 2 master materia, so... guess you can get mastercraft form there also O_o

I have not heard any info on fish producing Master, but again a lot have not been caught and or successfully synthed.

Kind of a loss of gil on gilgamesh if you buy those fish though...

Mastercraft materia just went under 150K (about 6 for 150K or below atm, some sold for 120K actually), titanic sawfish are goin at near 400K each atm >.>

I'd assume d100 CUL would be neccessary to desynth these successfully? Seems like alot of work if you have all other DOH crafts. If your a Fisher its really nice that SE did infact include a way for them to obtain Mastercrafts on their own.

Well if you got a weird economy like on whatever server SathFenrir is on, you'd still make good gil not having 100% chance. I'm presuming the fish are i70, so having a desynth of 80+ cookign would be a good profit gain, and an insane one if you got 100 desynth.

too bad the market on gilgamesh is flooded to death, think the server has more crafters then PVE/PVP'sers combined O_o

speaking of which, its about the same for gatherers... the marketboards flooding >.>

Making my GF level dCUL to 100 currently since all mine are full. She's at 65 currently for 0 gil invested (since I made her start leveling fishing too).

Should be able to desynth them within a week.
