Nice to have DoH/DoL incorporated into the relic though.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I'm loving this update. On my server, a lot of the relic items are still 800k+, with the cheapest being still over 350k. Not too much competition, and made a decent chunk of money already.

According to some people, yoshi P mentioned for 2.5, the "last of the artistan gear" will be released (crafter chest go go) and in 3.0, gatherers and crafters will have a tombstone system for gear, much like dow/dom. Not 100% confirmed as I've not seen official translations just word on the street type deal O_o

I'd have to agree. A tome lockout for DoH/DoL would do more harm than good and probably cause me to play even less leading to an unsub.
We can only speculate at this point, but I'm hoping the devs take their head out of their asses for 3.0 because the last few patches' crafting content has been all over the place.
If they do tome lockout, we have to be worth making something. Give us at least 10 below raid ilvl but meldable. Makes it very easily a matter of weighing options.
We'll see what they do with the craftable weapon from Dark World in 2.5. Might be a decent indication of where they plan to go.
Before doing any sort of token system for crafters they first need to balance how useful each craft is.
As of right now they have no idea how to do it because every patch LTW and WVR come out on top as the most profitable crafts to have. Meanwhile crafts such as ALC, CRP, CUL, and GSM get laughable roles. ARM and BSM usually come out ahead of the others, but their reliance on one another to be useful is a little annoying. Especially when you consider that if the gear ARM makes looks terrible, is terrible, and is used by classes few people play then it limits your market compared to the top two crafts.
Until they fix this obvious imbalance a token system shouldn't even be a part of he picture in my opinion. Otherwise you'll have certain crafts become flooded and others I.e. ALC will have a few per server.
