Doesn't seem like it was answered by anybody... but Relic +1 or Af+1 first?
Hands and legs will probably most likely be the biggest upgrades since you'd be sticking with Toxtoes in those slots over Darklight. Fairly sure Allagan hands of aiming suck a lot too which makes the AF2 hands BIS unless a 5 meld on ilvl 70 is better. Haven't looked much into BRD crafted.
Thanks! Anybody have a pic if relic +1? I want to see how shiny it is lol
Relic +1 are identical but with a glowy effect like the super 99 relics in XI.
Or at least I think they are, can't say I've examined them up close but at a glance they appear to be the same models with the same textures.
So how good is Sarnga+1 with crit melds compared to other stuff? I've seen one with three white Savage Aim IVs, so crit cap on it is >=27.
The fact that none of the top three DMG bows (relic, relic+1, allagan) have +crit is what makes me interested in it.
Spoiler: show
Pair with Gridanian Sparklers for even more shine!
Base damage is way too important; it would be materially worse than Titan/Garuda/Mog bows.
Regarding the +1 vs. AF2 debate, it's close for Bard's Hands and Legs; each AF2 piece for those slots is superior to the Allagan counterpart (hands it's a no-brainer; legs it's close, but AF2 still wins assuming you can still achieve 480+ ACC without them) as well so it's a worthwhile conversation. +1 weapon will always be a better upgrade than AF2 body / head / feet assuming you are going from DL as your base. I'll run the numbers through my Excel formula sheet for the hands / legs when I get home.
Whoa whoa there, don't start spoutin' nonsense. Sarnga+1 should have the exact same base damage as a iLvl70 primal bow, because it's HQ iLvl70 too.
It's true that relic/relic+1/allagan would probably beat it due to base damage, but not primal weapons.
That's interesting that you can push crit so high on a Sarnga, since the Mogbow only has +20 crit.
Yeah, that's... why I said Sarnga+1, and why SD's question said Sarnga+1. I will edit my post so it says "because it's HQ iLvl70 too" for additional clarification.
You can't just calculate it off of base damage though, because +crit has an effect (on ARC/BRD) that is not tied to the actual damage of the crit: BL reset.
So the real question is: how much +DMG is +crit worth?
The numbers were calculated out by someone on reddit like a week ago. Values were roughly 1 Weapon damage = 6 base stat (Dex for BRD obviously) = 50 secondary stat (determination/crit)
Crit has a higher value then determination (it was calculated based off of DRG skills) but not remotely enough to close the gap. The formula is in the page just linked.
