Anyone done any end game activities with ACN/jobs? It feels like the inability to give pet orders while doing character actions really limits its viability. Why do I have to stop casting just so I can tell my pet to dodge an attack? It also seems weird to have a manual mode for the pet when using it requires you to not do anything yourself.

As a Scholar I usually just have my pet on heel and position myself accordingly, rather than try and micro the pet on top of everything else needing to be done. Also I've noticed that it usually doesn't get hit unless something is specifically targeting it, thought it could be just healing itself? Haven't really had the time during dungeons to sit there and watch what my pet does when it takes damage.

I think you need airship access via main quest but not 100% certain of that.

Re: Ruin II - The blind is one of those debuffs that gets less effective as you reapply it, like Heavy. So less reason to use it.

Yeah, I was pretty annoyed that I accidentally started my character as a Gladiator (it had it defaulted since it was Legacy) and had to screw around in Ul'dah for ages before going to do what I meant to do (plus I prefer Papalymo/Yda).

Since Thunder makes specific references to this happening, yes DoTs can crit.

Does it work on DoTs that have already been applied prior to Raging Strikes or only those applied after?

Also, bummer how much hate you can generate on a group of mobs with Miasma > Bio II > Bio > Bane.

Only affects applications that happen during the duration of the buff. Note, also spell speed does not appear to affect our dots. There is evidence the dots are on a global ticker.

Curious about experiences as SCH and your stat distribution. I saw some notes about folks who have gone all INT, and struggled to heal Brayflox's Longstop as a scholar. It was hard, but I managed without any wipes across a few runs. I realize the difficulty level of dungeon content continues to increase, but what have your experiences been like so far?

Is anyone running an all MND scholar? Do you ever bother to go SMN?

Yes to both, but it's mostly "DF as SCH, do solo world stuff as SMN".

I'm a 50/50 INT/MND Arcanist. Speaking from experience, the only time I have difficulty healing Brayflox/Quan is if:

a. The tank's gear is heavily outdated or not geared properly (I've seen some "tanks" take 1/3 life off a normal hit on boss 2 of Brayflox)
b. People not knowing what the fuck

Otherwise the healing has been a walk in the park thus far.

I'm probably going the 50/50 route as well. I just want to play both, might as well be decent at both instead of good at one, meh at the other.

Does anyone have any hard evidence as to how effective 30 MND or 30 INT even is? I mean at 50 when you are geared up you will probably be in the 350-400 range for Primary Stat so I don't see how a 30 difference would be substantial.

Question about Raging Strikes + dots. If you spread them with Bane does it also get the damage boost?

So is Internal Release worth slotting over say Aero?
