SCH pet broken for others? I receive an error that says eos currently has "free stance" and none of the abilities have highlighted icons. I tried with steady as well.

Seems you have to put your pet to Obey or Sic to take it off of Free Stance.

Pet stances require you to engage a mob to manually give commands

Target an enemy and select Obey.

New smn here. Now that my DRG is done with Myth and Allagan, what myth pieces should I be focusing on smn first and which allagan stuff is better? D: Hard to go through 35 pages of stuff but I'll probably try to skim through this thread later.

I'm not a career SMN, so I can't answer this question, but I do recall seeing it asked recently over in the SCH/SMN thread here.

Hello, signed up to ask a quick question to which I could not find an answer to. Is there anyway to make a macro combining sic+obey? I find it very annoying when I tell Garuda to sic a specific target( which I have on a my non pet hotbar) only to have her cast contagion or aerial slash completely defeating the whole purpose of what I want. I don't want to have to hit two buttons weaving through gcd if I do not have to. So if anyone has an answer or any help I would greatly appreciate it.

I can't think of a lot of reasons to ever want to Sic something. Obey only.

Sic on Ifrit Egi during short DPS zergs. It's effectively the same, but less micro when I'm trying to juggle mega pots / buffs / etc in a short time frame is good.

SMN Question:

FOr the longest time it was said that CRIT was best for a SMN build.
But in 2.2 i am finding some ppl make the claim that DET is the new build of choice. Not only that, but I cant find a consistent BIS list for SMN and everyone has different ideas on what is best now. But none of them give data on WHY their list is best now.
So all i have to go on is hearsay.

Does anyone know what the best build is now? ANd are there any comparisons as to why it's better?

Doesn't matter. ilvl > Accuracy to cap > Det/Crit equally > Speed. The difference between the two is marginal.
