Tried the demo and i'm not sure i understand the battle system
Here is what i think and feel free to correct me
1) Default : Just made you skip a turn and accumulate BP(battle point?)
2) Brave : Not sure what it does despict the help info when i clikc Brave, all it ask me is to selection a 2nd command
3) If my BP is in the minus I have to skip a turn until i'm back to like 0 or 1?
4) I bough Cura for fun, and put Agnes as a WHM but she cannot use it, is it because her WHM job lv is too low? (if yes how do i know what job lv i need for cura)
default is defend and increases your BP (brave points)
brave gives you extra attacks on the same turn. You can go up to +4 attacks in a turn. You don't need BP to use it though. ex. battle starts and you just use Brave 4 times putting you at -4BP. you can attack 4 times that turn but then you give up your following turns until you're back at 0 BP.
You need to level up your white mage job level and you'll unlock whm lvl 3.
Fun game, very similar battle system to FF5 but still has enough quirks of its own to be interesting. The text is so damn small though, I feel like I'm going blind when I'm reading the dialog.
I'm loving the demo, it looks like a great game and FF5 was always one of my favorites due to the job system and this seems to have improved upon it further.
little tip: one of the NPCs gives you an extra villager. not sure if you needa beat some quests to get to that point or what. he might be in town during night, can't remember.
good lord this demo has a LOT of content.
Fully built the town, did all quests, maxed at level 20, maxed all jobs for all characters. I'm excited for this game now.
I'm at the 2nd boss but I need to build the town more, and I didn't do much of it
Time to grind while the town expand (10 h) since only 1 villager
Ratatapa talk to everyone in the city. You get a second villigar from the one of the people on the left side of the map at some point early in the game (though I don't know which point)
I did a lot of the town building while 3ds was in sleep mode and I worked/slept/played other games.
If you have yet to get said extra villager, you can dupe as many as you want (up to 20 carry over into the full version) by the following process:
Spoiler: show
Blink tanking is every bit as broken as it was in 11. Utsusemi and Evade-Counter (forget name, it's ninja's level 2 ability) are the only two abilities you need to snap the demo in half. Two-hander from Knight is excellent, although RDM's evade-BP skill tends to be more worthwhile on mages. I'm not sure how I feel about not getting access to the full spell list of mage jobs while maining them and having to earn them as you level though.
Is there a 3DS emu yet?
I downloaded the demo from the e-shop but is it worth playing?
I dont' want to have to replay the same 5 hours again when I get the actual game, but I heard there are bonuses that carry over...
The demo does not overlap the the real game. A better way of thinking of it would be a mini-rpg using assets from the real game. The classes which you get are not neccessarily ones you would get in that order, they are capped at level 4 instead of 10, and when you get certain abilities are reordered. It's more or less a gameplay demo with no story components with a good chunk of the jobs represented.
What carries on to the full game:
Minor equipment/consumable 'sets' for completing objectives such as a broadsword, bronze armor, ethers, potions, etc.
Up to 20 'villagers' obtainable by using either Streetpass or by duping (see above)
Completed the demo and got all items that transfer to the full game and 20 villagers. Final time was 6:53:31.
Was level 17 in the end and at least 4 jobs mastered on each character.
FYI the Intend to Buy Survey is up on Club Nintendo for this if anyone that is getting this wants to snag those extra points. I think I saw that it was only available until the 31st.
