Yep that ep was def worth the bump

I'm just getting caught up now. I was three episodes behind.
Welp. That about does it.
There's still 3XK.
I loved the episode though, felt goooood
It felt weird having the underlying storyline of the entire show tied up in one episode, and it wasn't even a season/series finale.
Yeah, when I finished the episode I was like "well, show must be done now!". Then I do a little google and notice it's not even the last episode of the season.
Sooooooo...

Season première was on Monday. Thought it was good. Hopefully this Castle situation plays out through the whole season and not just a couple episodes at the beginning and end.
I hope that they resolve it in the next episode and don't drag it out. I really didn't like the episode. Even if you ignore the way the characters acted, it just seemed rehashed and not compelling. It would have been better without the standard copout, by a little bit.
This from a guy who watches Castle basically on a loop.
I really didn't like it much either. I hope they move away from it ASAP. About 5 minutes into the episode I said "they better not do a god damn amnesia arc" and lo and behold...
Beckett was definitely a bit out of character, I thought (although you could probably get away with attributing that to the "my husband-to-be disappeared for two months on the day of our wedding" blues), but I think exploring this potential hidden side of Castle could be interesting. I like season long story arcs. What I don't like are "season long" arcs where you get the setup in the first episode or two, and then in episode 20 the writers go HEY, REMEMBER THAT THING WE SET UP FIVE MONTHS AGO? GET READY TO MAYBE HAVE IT KIND OF RESOLVED- JK HERE'S A CLIFFHANGER FINALE.
I'm not sure it's fair to call it an amnesia arc. We're not being reintroduced to Castle or some alternate version of him, he's just missing a chunk of time where some weird shit happened.
As long as they go somewhere interesting with it, I'm game to follow. It looks like next week might better satisfy all of us as we get some clues and return to the more traditional Castle case-of-the-week.
So my guess is 2 months of coma rape.
Any takers?
Hate this plot arc. Amnesia in any tv show is just retarded as far as I'm concerned. It's no different here. It's also getting quite tiresome for Beckett to be CONSTANTLY questioning her relationship with Castle.
Yo bro.
She just isn't sure of his true feelings yet.
Bah. Now I really want to know what actually pushed Rick to be a mystery novelist.
