I give it three episodes before it turns into puberty batman.

That wasn't bad at all honestly.
Script was so bad. Some quality acting salvaged it. Donal Logue and Ben McKenzie specifically.
Spoiler: show
When I saw Donal Logue was Bullock I was like "Wait.. why does he look familiar.." last place I saw him was Grounded for Life, Haha. He's playing the role well.
And yeah, the script was pretty bad/cheesy.. but the show after the first ep isn't nearly as bad as Arrow was to start S1 and..that's turned out pretty well! So we'll see where this goes.
watch terriers if you want some more sweet sweet donal logue action. i think it's on netflix
I give it a 6/10. Nothing great. Way too many "Hey here's Batman stuff!" references. I wouldn't even call them easter eggs. It was pretty cheesy.
Also, Gordon and Alfred look WAY too similar to be on the screen at the same time. It's pretty jarring. I hope it doesn't happen often.
Soon as Alfred said "mate" and then later "bloody" i cringed.
Some of the side characters seemed to be overacting a bit but McKenzie and Logue seem right for their roles which is what will matter most.
Hopefully they don't try to shoehorn in as many "batman villain when they were young!" references as the pilot did in the future.

The kid played in this short season of Touch, in which he didn't talk at all because he was emotionally challenged.
o wow, didn't notice that.
Finally watched it and I'm gonna echo everyone here. It was OK. Gordon and his partner did a good job I thought. Too many Batman villains all at once. Alfred and Catwoman were pretty awful I thought. Why was Alfred such a cunt, he should be the voice of reason and a comfort to Bruce.
I was gonna pass on this one but I just finished the Pilot, I'm not mad.
Gordon and Bullock are quality and The Penguin has a good story going on. For now, that's enough for me to stay tuned.
I dislike Alfred so far.
I want to like parts of this but it is screaming every other second "LOOK, NAMEDROPPING" and I don't know how I exactly feel about that. Gordon, Bullock, and Penguin are carrying this pretty hard atm, though I liked the couple in ep2 (can never remember their names).
Spoiler: show
Anyone else still watching this or just me? I still like it, don't think it's as good as Arrow is right now, but that started not near as good as it is now either. The show is really being carried by Gordon, Bullock, and The Penguin right now but I think it can work long term.
