So who's been watching this? Figured it could use a thread.

So far it's like they distilled the good parts out of the Vampire Diaries and left garbage behind. I mean, I'll still watch Diaries and all, I just hope the ratings for this show don't end up in Diaries shadow because the average Twihard-esque fans stick to the teenage drama.

Thoughts?

enjoyed the show, but why has one of my fav chars allwayd has to get insta stabed to slumber when he plays a major role in an episode. Seriously when was elijah NOT stabed ._. can we have him back again plox

Klaus was always a few steps ahead of anyone in the prior series, but goddamn if his characters foresight, planning, and sheer ruthless cunning in this show don't show how absolutely ruthless he can be.

tbh diaries went overboard with all the doppelganger bullshit now ¬.¬. I am just wating for the damon salvatore doppelganger to show up! I still enjoy it, but without the originials and alaric it lost a bit of an edge. Well Katarina petrova makes up for it a bit.

Atleast when Nik was the bad guy there was some more killing and I was pretty entertained. Now it's back to full on romantic drama which gets annoying

loved the episode! Plot thickens! At least now we know that the witches were the cause for cammys twinbrother to go insane on a rampage tour

I find myself looking forward to this show each week more than any other show at the moment. Vampire Diaries is only mildly holding my attention and even Once Upon a Time isn't quite as exciting as it used to be.

also love the fact that it isnt like vamp. diaries with only 2 sides but there are 4 different fractions:
- The witches
- marcel and his vamps
- the originals
- the humans (not so much involved yet)

and each is fighting for their own cause

Elijah is the best part of the show his acting and character is beyond realm of the rest of the cast. In most cases, he makes the others standout when they are in scene with him.

I agree, Elijah is fantastic. I like Hailey too, I'm glad CW found a place for her after they canceled Secret Circle. She was by far best on that show and consequently the only one the network kept I guess

Unlike moody as hell Klaus, he handles it with about as much fuss and muss a machine running on a single boolean statement. if family = hurt then you = dead. No fuss, no muss ... you're going to clock out of this life.

Excellent finale tonight .... this show has been so good all season long. Vampire Diaries looks like Twilight compared to The Originals.
