So got my SMN to 50 Tuesday night and got to do Turn 1 and 2 yesterday in my BLM's gear with Ex Primal Book (total of i87). But I had a question about maximizing DPS on Rape Snake. We focus DPS on one snake to 10%, then switch DPS, kill second, and then kill original.
But for SMN Should I focus on keeping DOTs up on both Snakes? This is what I was doing, but wanted to make sure.
Yes, BRD should be doing that too, and melee can also be doing it if they are awesome. You might run lower on MP but whatever, do an Energy Drain once every other Aether or something.
Should add /facetarget to the macro section for any casted offensive spells.
I don't really agree with that because macroing GCD actions isn't really optimal for casters. It's better to just hit a facetarget keybind at the same time.
Macro queueing (or lack thereof) for GCD actions. If you hit a GCD action like .5s before your GCD is up, it will fire as soon as possible. If it is macro'd you instead either need to be a robot or have crazy timing to not lose fractions of a second every GCD. This is part of the whole debate with BRD macros.
if anyone interested on how smn perform in t8, just got our first kill last night
Spoiler: show
The only macros I really recommend using are ones that
-Automate pet actions (the spamfire redundancy ones I have in 2nd post, added a couple for SMN also today)
-Group together off-GCD actions; mostly as a space-saver. For example Rouse and Spur on the same button with no waits. Just spam it to hit both.
It's not a huge issue if you're amazing at playing your job or if you would lose efficiency by not macroing (an argument for BRD macroing Bloodletter into at least 1 button), but it's those little %s of efficiency that you lose by using macros with GCD things in them. Microing Wind Blade is kind of needless imo.
Fair point. Not sure about the best way to work facetarget into the the limited Xbar space atm, but it's definitely better to get optimal action chains.
not sure, 92-95 maybe?
Nice parse. Our summoners usually clock in at 300-310, ~30 below the melee. I like that your 2x bards both gives more foe's and double dips disembowel for ~60 free dps. Well done.
yeah, I try to sync battle voice/foes with dreads, this vid is WHM PoV but you could hear me asking for battle voice and foes throughout the fight so I can refresh dots/bane right away.
actual fight starts at 3:20
Typo on iLV110: Hands for "Either"
How high should Crit be valued on SCH? We have an SCH in our Coil 2 static that insists on wearing the PvP SCH body because it has Crit. This obviously results in him missing an entire secondary stat.
Is he actually being reasonable, or should I force him to change?
only secondary stat you lose on comparable pieces is PIE.
Daystar (unweathered) is the only real upgrade, don't think you want to be putting a Sand in for that. or if you just have an overabundance of High Allagan Healer Body pieces.
Assuming you mean the i90 PvP body rather than the brand-new i100 PvP body (I question whether someone could be R38 PvP yet), then Weathered Daystar is also better (because +MND).
Missing an Energy Drain is probably the worst fucking feeling in the world and W-Daystar has 8 acc
in addition the i90 PVP body will have less stats than i100 W-Daystar
FUCK BEATEN BYR ALDO
