I was able to get through, and I transferred to Hyperion. Waiting for Email confirmation now.

Maybe it's just me, but why are so many non legacy people so eager to play on legacy servers? I'd feel so woefully behind everyone even more so than I already am.

Considering I played FFXI, I can give less than two shits about having to catch up.

Maybe they think it's EZ mode and they can get carried? I dont' really get it either. Only reason I made my new char on a legacy server was because I had some friends start on Ragnarok. All of which who quit about a week before payment. Lol...

Where do you find out if serves are full? I'm trying to get my roommate transferred but the only servers it lists for him are non-legacy. We both started on a JP Legacy server but I got switched.

You can open up your launcher and check the Special Notices section. It'll be titled "Regarding Character Creation Restrictions". If you can't create a character on that world then you can't transfer to it.

SE hasn't updated it today though.

Hopefully they will get it straightened out before Balmung fills! My current server options are non legacy na servers. It went from listing about 10 to 5 and now it's back to 10.

As of 2:30pm, Lich, Mateus, Brynhildr, Famfrit, and Zalera are all off the list. My guess is they will be closing and opening servers all week in an attempt to maintain some semblance of population balance.

Just curious, is this a transfer that happens immediately after you submit it, or one of those "the transfer happens in one month, put your request in now" kind of things?

I've been told the transfer is more or less immediate, finishes in like 5 minutes, basically just like if you world transferred in any other MMO. I'm guessing the "might take several days" thing is just to cover their ass if something goes wrong.

I put in my request, and I got on Hyperion within 3 hours. So at the very most it should happen within the day.
