really need to see these areas before decided where to settle down at. From what I can tell, they all look freakin nice.

Grid master race. Dunno how I feel about furniture binding on use. Was gonna drop cash on a house for shits and giggles but given we have 3 people in our FC it sucks we can't recuperate any of the money back if we ever feel like splitting and joining a "real" FC. I suppose it's a decent way to avoid over saturating the market but it still sucks.

It may be too early to tell yet because a lot of people either won't have the gil or are waiting but I'm trying to work out which features are available to each size of building.

Realistically we could buy a small house with some work but we're wondering what a medium property would give us and whether to really go all out for that. We're a FC with 20-30 active members.

Not sure if we have another place to do this, but we got some item called something like "Beh'ladian Glass" or something along those lines (I assume it's a window ingredient) from one of the last three crates in Qarn in the "secret" room to the left of the scales. Figured we should be accumulating the new drops somewhere since furniture items were back-added into all of the dungeons.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCCKYfouAxE At 25 minutes they go thru the interiors of the 3 sizes, a small is around the size of an inn room with 20-30 members you'd want to aim for a medium I'd say.

Has anyone see anything about whether only going for a Small plot will restrict what you can add to it later? I'm a bit worried that if we stop at a small and we need to have the basement for example for a workshop, we'd be shooting ourselves in the foot. But then looking at the Q&A in the first post they said that prices would be the same across the servers...

2 small plots sold on Siren. One to ATMA in Limsa area and one to SEeD in Gridania.

If I remember right, can't find proper citation in the patch notes themselves, once you buy a plot you can't "expand" it and atm FCs can only own 1 plot I think. I believe you can build a smaller size house than the plot you have (like small house on large plot), but seems like if you buy a small plot you are basically stuck with its limitations.

Just been to Adamantoise, levelled to 5 and had a look round the medium and large house available in the Mist there

I can't believe how large the large house is! It's 3 floors and absolutely humongous. It's like the size of 20 small houses.

A small LL and medium grid have sold on Gilgamesh. But the medium was bought by a FC that is full so it probably wasn't very hard to get that much money.

We're holding off completely seeing as no actual benefits are present for owning a house atm. The ends must justify the means, else its just squandering money whichever way you'd like to justify it.

I was hoping that with these unreal prices there would be benefits to justify the costs. Then it dawned on me that this is SE we are dealing with and I realized everything is working as intended.

Eh, I see the large house as not big enough personally. Medium is like 3 inn rooms stacked on top of each other, Large is "just" a big foyer, 2 small upstairs rooms, and a windy basement. Maybe I just have a terrible sense of scale.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the windy basement was because they put up interior walls. Its just as large as the main floor.
